Your exchange reminds me of a racket one Florida county sheriff's department ran some years ago - should they pull over big-ticket automobiles on the road, they would ask the drivers to show their wallets as well as their licences, and, if these drivers were carrying more than about $100-150 in cash, they were ordered to the nearest station house, vehicles impounded, and questioned if not charged about drug-related activity, with the cash being confiscated entirely. This racket enabled this sheriff's department to raise a couple of million extra dollars, until the Orlando Sentinel exposed the racket about two years after it began.

"...most fierce opponents of legalization."

You got that right, weikel. At the first sign of any serious federal legislation to legalize, we're going to see some dead Congressmen. That's why there won't be any moves like that.

Longo said Currin was hired by the School Department three months ago to work as a community resource specialist systemwide and to advise parents of students at the Keith Middle School about alternative strategies for combating drug dealing.

I guess his strategies turned out to be a little too "alternative" for the school's taste, I presume. LOL!
