Let's take a look at how this really works... First the palestinians, armed with knives, guns, and now bombs, take on school children, housewives, and the infirm. Arafat could have chosen to have a viable state for the palestinians, but that would have meant halting the "intifada," which some, like you, insists was begun by the actions of Sharon, even thought there's irefutable evidence that it was planned far in advance of Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount, which you should be aware of, is a Jewish Holy site. BTW, the Temple Mount was off limit to Jews from 1948 through 1967, when it was liberated from Jordan (not the palestinians). Oh, and before then? Well, Jews had access to it, but if they dared pray at the Western Wall of the Second Temple, they were assaulted and sometimes killed by the arabs...
