THe current scandal is not one of pedophilia. It is of homosexuality. And there is no doubt that a large number of gay men have sex with - or want to have sex with -adolescent males. Remember, NAMBLA has proudly marched in the NYC Gay Pride Parade (their slogan is "If not by eight, then too late). Homosexuals have pushed the age of consent lower and lower. In the UK they are trying to push it to 14. Sorry, but the homosexual culture is the cause of the scandal. For whatever reason, the hetero's have been keeping their celibacy vows, at least as far as the teen girls are concerned.

Astonishing photo. I hope the Church kicks out all the gay priests. It would decimate the ranks, but too many gay guys are now chosing to be priests for all the wrong reasons.... Pope John XXIII declared that gays are NOT fit for ordination. This Pope however is conservative in that he believes in closing the ranks around a scandel. I think this Pope is part of the problem. He refuses to say that gays are not fit to be ordained!

Well the few gay friends I have had are just as decent and morally upright as anyone else and recoil at the thought of sexually abusing an adolescent boy or girl. Personally I don't subscribe to any established church, too much politics and deceit. If you think about it, the Catholic Church has been an instrument of political control and exploitation since nearly the beginning. There are millions of pious, caring and good people involved with the church who have good values and doing the right thing as their motive. But in leadership roles we find politics as usual just in any large organization. I am attracted a lot to Buhddism but can't subscribe to it fully either. I do however respect all religions in their attempt to achieve moral insight and higher thinking. With the exception of Islam. Call me a bigot but I call Islamics a plague on society (based on their actions and treatment of women and anyone who does not subscribe to their way of thinking). Maybe the next pope can call for a new Crusade LOL...

It's an easy life if you do not minister to your flock via the Sacraments. This may well explain why it is so difficult in some parishes to go to Confession, or attend Mass and not have your beliefs assaulted with touchy feely nonesense.
