Hmmm. Perhaps the headline should read, "Administration Wants Carter to Visit Cuba...and Stay."

Carter pushing democracy in Cuba is akin to Nolan Ryan giving instructional classes on hitting.

...push democracy in Cuba. He doesn't even do that HERE!

Well if anything can bring an end to Castro's regime, it would have to be economic advice from Carter. All we can ask of him is that he does for Cuba what he's done in the past for America.

Fidelito will get a lot of free PR out of this by using Yimi as his stooge, the stooge that he is, and Yimi will never have a clue.

Why did you post this under "philosophy"? It's a current events thread and to include it here is improper.
With all due respect, those of us who are looking for threads on the subject of philosophy are regularly having to wade through an excess of your threads that are really not philosophy oriented in the strict subject matter sense. Almost all are current events. I ask in order to unclutter this topic that you take this into consideration while making future new posts. Thank you.

I apologize. I thought an occasional discussion about communism and democracy might be good for philosophers. I haven't usually flagged that category.

Jimma the ENABLER. He could work and lecture for PEANUTS in Fidel's paradise. Another NAIL in his legacy.
