Good for Greta! When I went through the airport screeners at Ronald Reagan National in DC, the woman checking me could hardly speak English and I had a difficult time understanding what she wanted me to do.

I had the same problem at airport in Vegas (McCarren). I had to repeatedly ask the attendant to repeat herself.

Also, this is not the first time Greta has gone off on Airport Security. She went off last week as well. Good for her. The only thing that has changed since 9/11 is that we all wait in long lines. The screeners are all still a joke!!!

I had one female screener in the Austin, TX airport come down the line barking at us to take out our bottled water from our briefcases. She then said loudly that she wasn't going to ask again. I was afraid to ask what she was going to do if someone left one in (the National Guard was standing by her with their guns). I did make a comment to the guy behind me and low and behold I got searched!!! Nothing went off, but I was searched.

what really burns my ass is that as a federal employee i have waited M-O-N-T-H-S to get an American cleared and these idiots - who let 9-11 happen by their incompentence - were grandfathered in as federal employees - and jerks like barbara boxer don't want them to be citizens are even have a high school diploma....sorry, but this whole subject gets me going....i will be flying for the first time since 9-10 on may 11th - believe me, i'm leary about the whole thing....

The purpose of offering higher pay to luggage screeners is to get better applicants and (to a lesser extent) reduce attrition among the better employees (those with enough skills to do something else). Increasing pay while grandfathering employees makes no sense whatsoever.

A few months ago I was going through security and put my metal objects (cigarettes, coins, keys, etc.) in the plastic container and tried to hand it to the little foreign lady at the walk through metal detector.

It took her at least 4 or 5 time to tell me that the container had to go through the conveyor detector before I understood her instructions. I'm a little hard of hearing, but if I had said "what" a few more times I'd have felt like a light bulb:)

Lately they have been arresting,imprisoning, and/or deporting all the airport security personnel around DC who were either illegal aliens or felons; if they will also deport or imprison the ones who can't speak or comprehend Englis that may be useful. (Especially if they don't get to vote for the more idiotic and moronic poltical candidates--if any are more idiotic or moronic than any others.

I have always liked Greta. I watch her show all the time it does not interefere with anything else and aaron brown is kinda weak. She makes good sense and for the most part explaines where she is coming from. If anything what she said at airport makes her not a good republican but a bad democrat. I like my fair and balanced news station.
