Truer words have not been spoken, eh

Mark Steyn simply never misses. He hits the bull's-eye every time. If talent like his could be distilled, bottled and sold, I'd never drink anything else.

In the NY Times, to have to read Frank Rich and Maureen Dowd, blather on...well, I don't bother anymmore..but I have written the editor of the WSJ, begging him to dump Al Hunt and print one of Steyn's columns....every Thursday, I cut Hunt's column out of my paper and flush it...nevermore reading a word

One would hope that when you cut out Hunt's column to flush away, that you give it the proper attention that is required of paper placed in the vortex of glory. It does need a proper send off after all.

regards

Re#9 I think they'll keep Al Hunt just for "balance". 'Sides, his stuff is so intellectually bankrupt that he looks like a fool. Now, if they were to pick up Steyn, that would be too cool. The guy is truly amazing. Kind of a non-pedantic Hitchens, IMHO, putting politics aside...

I don't have a problem with a liberal, per se..but HUnt is so blatantly a Dem mouthpiece...that's what I object to..

Understood. But then, his influence is far less than the Dan, Peter, Toms and other Clymers that the sheeple are subjected to every day. Maybe the better effort would be to read Hunt (nose pinched) and then write a factual rebuttal/letter to the editor. In any event, thanks for your efforts...

This article reminds me of a particularly foolish guy I roomed with in college who believed that medals should not be given for 'killing.' He like so many other pantywaist liberals REALLY and TRULY believe that the very notion of honoring bravery in combat is morally blameworthy. To their minds, no one's country, no one's livelihood, no one's freedoms are worth killing for, much less dying for. I'm sure if they could have their way the Congressional Medal of Honor would be abolished and replaced with little replicas of the Nobel Peace Prize. Hell, they'd probably even want to give one to Arafat! :-)

What did Mr. Eggleton not know
and when did he not know it?

Shades of Catch-22.  In case
you don't remember...

"You are charged with saying [whatever it was]
about the Major."

"I never said that!"

"When did you never say it?"

"I always never said it!"

Do you think we could start a national campaigntoget the WSJ to dump Hunt?. He's doesn;t reflect the beliefs and vaues of the majority of the paper's readers. Again, if they want a lib point of view, there are many other worthy choices..
