Bill Simon is a start and will go a long way toward solving a lot of our problems and he has a real chance of beating the Prince of Darkness, Grayout Davis
But listen my friend (?)...
I've learned long ago -- & learned the hard way, mind you -- that putting too much faith in any *man*?
Is really asking for a broken heart.
When my axiom is applied to a pol?
You may double the pain-points; across the board.
I pray you're correct about this guy, in any event.
Don't worry about me buying them out from under you. My next purchase is going to be a Glock 26 or the new Springfield XD9.
BTW, sh!ttin in the woods is fun(for about 4 days of huntin' then it gets old!)... and I do not consider myself a fool, merely an optimist.
That alternative is of course, yourself; I'd hope.
Sorry; the testimonials from the people you cite?
They might just be right-on-the-money; &, if they are?
Then I'd dare say either this individual is unelectable; or, will morph into something quite different than what they saw -- once he's inside the beltway.
I've just seen the xformation happen too many times; whether it be Kascich or any other of the crowd who went in in '94 full of fire, & came out full of shit.
I'm not damning 'em, either; human nature is as tough to overcome as is the survival instinct.
That's just life.
"BTW, sh!ttin in the woods is fun(for about 4 days of huntin' then it gets old!)..."
Shittin' in the woods is *fun*, huh.
Have to admit; I never thought of it in quite those terms -- not with the spectre of either mosquitoes *or* frost covering the exposed buttocks. {g}
On top of human nature & the survival?
I find a warm toilet seat equally tough to overcome.
BTW; no disrespect intended to Mountain Men everywhere, either; they're probably the only ones who're not kneee deep in all the angst you & I have to deal with.
Plus, they probably really like shittin' in the woods -- or rocks. {g}
"...and I do not consider myself a fool, merely an optimist."
I'd like to remind you, those two attributes are closely related; in a strange & odd sort of way.
In any event; I didn't think you a fool for one instant, anyway.
What did I think of you?
I thought you to be one pissed-off person.
A person who'd had enough watching helplessly as the place of their birth was being pulled out from under foot.
...and, without the assholes doing the pulling ever having the decency, or so much as extending the common courtesy of asking what you, the taxpayer thought about their scheme(s).
Really, that's all I thought.
...ie, exactly how I'd feel, under like circumstances.
OK, maybe not fun but bearable or bareable for a short time on a good hunt.I also much prefer a lodge to a tent.I'm not Jim Bridger!
