is Shell and Texaco the same company?

No. Texaco and Chevron are the same company.

Shell and Texaco had business dealings that Texaco had to divest before completing the merger with Chevron.

Actually, this is another problem delivered by the enviralists who hate when we drive, their politicians here and in DC and probably the Opecker Princes.

All of these plants are about 20 plus years old. The terrible 3 above have made sure that we have no new gasoline plants in Kali. Talk to any construction project manager who has had to lead repair and maintenance jobs on these old and dangersous plants, and they will tell you that it ain't the oil companies causing these problems to raise gas a few cents.

Of course being our natural gas expert on Free Republic you knew that. Remember we need oil, gasoline, natural gas, electricity and nuclear power, over dependence on any one energy choice could be son of Opec with locals control our energy needs.

What do you know about Oregon Steel, market symbol, OS?

For those who don't know, several minority comunities sprang up around the Martinez plant and as soon as they have a "problem", run to the phone to call a lawyer to file suit. From my brother who used to live in Martinez.

gee, I live in Martinez and I haven't noticed several "minority communities" springing up.

lets see, my daughter says at her high school there are about 20 black kids, 15 chinese, 300 mexicans, 10 philipinos, 5 russians, 2 lezbians (they think of themselves as a race), 5 Hawaiians, 5 italians, out of 1500 students, these numbers are approximate, the rest are caucasian.

So, can we start referring to her as Hillary "Sulfur Dioxide" Clinton?

LOL!!! ;-) There was another "release" of sulfur dioxide in Newark, NJ today. They said it was a HAZMAT emergency, too.

Funny, having been to Newark, NJ, I always thought that was it's second name.....;-)
