Comic books became preachy way back in the 70's when Dennis O'Neill and Neal Adams teamed up to produce Green Lantern/Green Arrow for DC comics. I'm not familiar with the line you mentioned, but there is also plenty of leftist fare on the shelves to indoctrinate your children.
A couple of recent examples from Marvel Comics: 1) The Punisher, a sociopathic good guy who recently confronted George W. Bush (who was sitting in the Oval Office drinking whiskey) and threatened him severely. The only reason he didn't kill him was because of his position as Commander-in-Chief, one was led to believe. 2) X-Force--in a recent issue it was revealed that a number of deathrow inmates in a Texas state penitentiary did not die in a prison fire as everyone thought--no, they became the Bush Rangers--mostly black prisoners who were turned into mutants so they could do the bidding of the US government.
Don't even ask about DC comics The Preacher--you don't want to go there.

Bah, you should see Chick's
Big Daddy tract. Filled with distortions of science, appeals to ignorance, appeals to ignorant authorities (like Kent Hovind) and outright lies regarding evolution to get its message across. Presenting the loss of legs in a completely aquatic creature as the "opposite" of evolution truly exposes the ingorance of both the author and anyone gullible to think that the author is on to something.

I'm proud to be a Catholic physics major. I suppose it is to the good that after 400 years, the Pope embraced Galileo -- and then only took 100 years to accede to Darwin. But what the heck were thinking people supposed to do while the religious authorities dithered? Such science had to proceed outside the blessings of the Church -- for generations!
When spirituality and science mix, spirituality always loses in the end -- they may fight it kicking and screaming for hundreds of years -- but ultimately science prevails.

Think of how many people have ignorant opinions when it comes to evolution because of this kind of "literature"Indeed, when their counterpart pedagouges on the other side of the argument could have saved them from their ignorant superstitions and a life full of Puritanical sobriety and charity...pity, that.

And if you count yourself as a member of the American Taliban, this would probably be a good point to stop reading. However, if you believe that teaching intolerance of people different than you is wrong, then you've come to the right place. How priceless to see these sentences appear together. Physician, heal thyself!

I don't see what all the fuss is about...evolution and Creation are BOTH correct...God created His own and all the others evolved from their blessed pond scum.

However, this comic has the underlying tone of racism, and that rubbed me the wrong way (no pun intended). Look this is stupid and REALLLY bothers me. You're basically saying that any time any minority is cast as the bad guy it's racism. Which means that only white people can play the villians. Don't you realize that this is an even more virulent form of racism when only one race is allowed to be portrayed negatively?
Now THAT'S disgusting.
Gee look whats on TV again, another Hollywood movie with evil corporate white guys as the villains, because thats the only politically correct target these days.

"What could possibly be worse than professing to believe in such a thing?" Well, you asked for it- the answer is: "Being stupid enough to construct the fallacious and risible argument that YOU have posted"!!!!
Why not just be honest with yourself, and admit that you take "creationism" on faith alone- after all, it's not as if anyone really CARES what you believe, is it? You are free to believe any silly thing you want- just don't try to mandate that it be taught as fact in the schools.

Actually, Plenty, Sir, while twenty-tjree different evolution theories contradict each other, Genesis presents only one creation story, God created Heaven and Earth This is a hilarious little snippet that demonstrates a complete and total lack of scientific understanding. The ancient greeks believed all matter was composed of only 4 elements while later scientists were divided on the ultimate number of elements. Still only an imbecile would conclude that the ancient greeks were more correct because they only had one theory.

Maybe someone should point out that it wasn't her who wrote this article but a certain
Brian Jacks from Slush Factory.
Of course she should have included the author and the source of this article to prevent these misunderstandings.
