Hmm, genocide means everyone then? I guess it fits with the theme of this thread: "there's no such thing as genocide".

No, I think Sharon views civilian casualities as perfectly acceptable, albeit within certain limits. For example, he can kill a few Palestianians with an F-16's rocket, but dropping an entire payload of bombs on a village might be a little over the top.

If you are waiting for a mainstream media piece that will tell you "no massacre occurred here", you've got a better chance of meeting up with Godot.

"We have expert people here who have been in war zones and earthquakes and they say they have never seen anything like it," he added.

Huh? What earthquake and wars are they talking about? Kyoto, Armenia, Turkey, etc., etc., wiped out huge parts and whole cities with 10,000's dead.

"If there was a town across the boarder which manufactured bombs and suicide bombers, and was responsible for dozens of attacks on American civilians...I would support leveling the entire town." If American had conquered the town, restricted the rights of its inhabitants, and began settling Americans and soldiers around them, your analogy would almost make sense.

That would be far to good for such a town.
And far from being settled by Israelis, places like Jenin are not even safe for Israeli citizens to drive through.
Contrary to Israeli cities and towns where Arabs can and do live in safety.

I suspect there will be some sort of formal investigation, and it will make its findings known. We will either know that there were substantial war crimes, or that there were not, or that the evidence is conflicting and inconclusive.

I admit I take a very hard line on this sort of thing. Bob Kerry should probably be in a jail cell now as we speak. I know that is not a popular position, but it is mine, and I will not compromise it.

gen·o·cide: The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group.

Really.

I guess what really matters is what the definition of "genocide" is.

formal investigation

Counselor, I'd love to see you pick an impartial panel.

And Arafat and the terrorists don't? From what I've seen, they aren't even pretending to have "certain limits." How about those brave freedom fighters who send pre-pubescent boys out with rocks to throw at soldiers in the transparent hope a few of them will be shot? You're daft.

Well they could appoint me. :) It will be rather impartial if folks sympathetic to each side are picked. If one member overreaches, another will call him on it. I thought the Finnish team did a pretty good job with Racak in Kosovo. Maybe pick a Dutch team.

re your # 3

Becuase of this crime, the World should dictate that "The Corrpulent" one will have his daily food intake reduced from four beef sides/day to one Kosher pickle as it may reduce his propensity for barbarism.

Yeah, they're both screwed up. One difference is the US isn't spending $3 billion a year to arm those Palestinian teenagers tossing rocks.

Thanks. But I'd be truly backpedaling if I had spent my comments praising the heroic Palestinians. You'll have to find those posts, I've forgotten where I placed them.

Right. The Dutch. They have proudly implemented a law permitting the euthanasia of children up to 15 years old if the parent deems the child unworthy of living. And that lovely demonstration the other day, where, according to Oriana Fallaci, "the youth of Holland flaunted the kaffiah like Mussolini's avant garde flaunted the club and the fascist badge."

What impartial judges they would be.

Jenin camp 'horrific beyond belief'

I really doubt that. Now,clearly, Hillary Clinton assuming the Position of "Jr.Senator from N.Y."
is the Definition of "Horrific Beyond Belief" IMHO.

Now you're just trying to be clever. Good night.
