Farming is just another industrial process, policed by FLIR equipped gunships in the air.

Lucky dog! I have to wait ten more years. 55 now. The very FIRST year of the 'baby boom' generation. Hmmmm, maybe that's why I was born about 9 months and 15 minutes after my Dad returned from the war. Heh Heh.
I've brought my kids up to know that SS is a Ponzi Scheme, and that the only part of SS they might EVER collect is that part of any new legislation that allows them to salt money away in their OWN accounts.

That's why you need large amounts of heavy-duty tin foil. Little women in wheel chairs can't detect you when you are wearing copious amounts of the shiny stuff. Also, it is most interesting that the author failed to note the government program to end tin-foil (or aluminium foil as gov. propogandists call it) production in America forever. We will recieve our tin foil from Chiner, and do you think that mess will block "pain rays" and mind control devices? Is the earth flat? Where the moon-landings fake? yes my friends, I warn you: protect your tin-foil supplies!

Tell ya WHat Congress Critters... me and the wife talked it over and you can have all of the money we paid into "Social Rathole" and keep it as long as we or any of my children (or their decendants) do not have to pay into ever again... In other words we want to quit your wonderful (hah) program and will take care of it ourselves.

Yeah, the G's can't hide in that scenario.

But policing by free-fire zone tends to also solve the G's recruiting problems.

And a sufficiently nasty guerrilla can do some nasty things...like, for instance, infiltrate LA on a hot summer night, steal a police cruiser and a uniform, and then shoot at a crowd of different-ethnicity folks for no discernable reason, then retire at high speed to an enclave of like ethnicity and watch the riots get started...

Hell, all you'd REALLY need in some cases is a rumor of "police brutality," and the riot starts.

Reinstate a punitive inheritance tax;

The current inheritance tax program ends in 2010, doesn't it?

The House voted to make it permanent; I don't know if the Senate's voted yea or nay yet.

And you expect WHAT sort of protection from an NRA whose President is "nervous" about civilian ownership of AKs???? (Sorry not to post the link, but it's no longer in "my comments" for some reason... )

I guess you didn't read what he said after he said that statement. Instead, you can't wait to air dirty laundry of a group you aren't a member of. If you don't like a group, stay out of it and join another. There are plenty of other groups that need members. Don't do Sarah Brady's job for her.

The current confiscation ends about then but kicks back in a year later or less. They do NOT want us to be able to pass wealth to another generation UNLESS we are of the "right sort," that is, statist to the core, like the Kennedy bunch, or the Rockefellers. The rest of us should not have access to large amounts of money or we might just decide to throw off our chains and that would NEVER do!

I saw an ad" on TV this afternoon that went like this:
The scene is a young woman sitting alone in her home watching television. You can hear the voice emanating from the TV set giving the news concerning a woman who was killed by burglars. At that time you hear the sound of breaking glass coming from somewhere in the house.
The woman grabs the phone and attempts to dial; Alas the phone is dead.
A figure wearing a full face covering is coming in her back door and from over his shoulder you see the woman standing pointing a weapon at the intruder.
Ad' continues with, "This is a story you won't see on your TV....Over two million crimes per year are prevented by gun owners.

It wasn't from the NRA either.

Hey, bub, I am NOT doing Sarah's job for her. HESTON is... The fact remains that he DID make those comments PUBLICLY and the spin machine tried to push them down the memory hole immediately thereafter. The grand part of FR and the net is that the memory hole is ineffective here!

Just leave Arizona or Texas for me, and your terms are acceptable.

Sorry fella, but Texas is mine. Although I'm sure Squantos will have something to say about that. Maybe he will split it with me.

You've heard it's going to happen --- that in 2012 or 2016 or 2038 or some other ever-shifting date the U.S. social security system will run out of money.

Yes.

The dirty little secret is that this is the Republicrat's BIG LIE.

BOTH major political parties perpetuate this lie in order to frighten senior citizens into believing that "something must be done to fix Social Security". Of course, this usually involves increasing the SS Tax to increase the amount of money in the so-called Social Security "Trust" Fund.

The "Trust" Fund is actually a slush fund that government bureacrats (at the urging of Democrats) misappropriate for other purposes, leaving behind government IOU's that must be repaid from General Revenue. GOP proposals to "reform" Social Security through "privatization" are merely a ploy to divert SS Tax revenues to brokerage firms and financial institutions so that these wheeler-dealers can get a cut of the action.

The TRUTH is that Social Security is NOT a retirement savings plan. It is also NOT a Ponzi scheme about to go broke!!! Social Security is merely a socialist income redistribution system that places a tax on working people in order to provide a "safety net" for those who are too old or unable to work. And for such a redistribution system to continue working and remain solvent in perpetuity, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NECESSITY TO ACCUMULATE A BLOATED "TRUST" FUND!!!

In todays age of computerization, the only rule necessary to stabilize the Social Security system is as follows:

This month's total SS receipts = next month's total SS distributions

To maintain this equilibrium, monthly payments to eligible recipients would be variable rather than fixed. So in good economic periods, recipients checks increase as SS collections increase. In slow economic periods, recipients checks decrease with collections, but they still recieve something as a "safety net. Overall, all boats rise and fall with the same tide.

But to repeat the main point: a bloated Social Security Trust Fund is absolutely unnecessary for the system to remain solvent.

So the next time a politician tells you that Social Security is going broke, you know that you're not just listening to a liar, but also a thief!!!

I guess you still didn't take the hint that you should have read what else he said afterwards. He said that he didn't like them and that that they shouldn't be banned. In other words to make it so simple minds can understand, your way, everyone should love the AK's which they won't. Heston's stance is that you don't have to even like AK's in order to defend them.

Translation again for simple minds: I don't like what you say, but I will defend your right to say it.

IIRC, he made the "correction" OFF-air, while he made the actual comment ON-air during the interview. The "correction" came in a letter; the comment was made live and is in the transcript that was posted here. So take your simple, NRA-loving comments and put them where the sun don't shine.
