Isn't $200,000 an awful lot to pay for a prostitute--and a used up blubber at that?

Hafta to be pretty hard up. Klintoon'd do anything for a buck.

Nope, its possible he could claim a charity deduction for his expenses, but it would be far less than 200,000.

You say no, others say yes. who's right? Doesn't Jerry Lewis get a big tax writeoff for his 24 hour services during the Labor Day weekend? What if these affairs had an arrangement where they hand the speaker like Krintong a check for amount X and he immediately "donates" it back to them? Legal?

(Come to think of it, I think you're right, as I recall the tax form language, you can only write off your expenses and not your customary fees. But I'm not 100% certain...)

"As someone who often admired Bill Clinton when he was in office I'm very disillusioned." -= Obviously you didn't pay attention very well.

What a surprise! The Redneck Caligula is also greedy and has an over-inflated sense of self worth. Who would have known?

Along the same line, Colmes of Hannity and same tried to refer to Gore as VP tonight while interviewing Dick Armey. Armey quickly inserted the phrase "Former". It so took Alan by suprise that he didn't recover for several moments.

All right, after much procrastination I finally went to my tax forms and indeed, Big Creep cannot deduct the value of his time or services, but he can deduct his direct expenses associated with giving a free speech to university students. And it's an open question if a scam such as what I described above is possible.

Dang it, I was going to donate the $200,000 speech I made last year to my cat and dog, who are both non=-profit, and write it off the taxes I'm doing now as we speak. Now what, pay up??

It's about time these people were disillusioned with this jerk. We all had to learn the hard way.

I think the American people would pay the Brits $250,000 to take Bill Clinton permanently. Then they can have lunch with him all they want.

But, with around 100 normally attending, diners would have had to pay around £2,000 a head to cover Mr Clinton's fee and expenses. This is the first time an invited guest has ever demanded cash to turn up.

Once trailer trash... always trailer trash.

The scariest thing I can think of, even scarier than Saddam or Arafat or bin Laden is an Edwards/Clinton ticket in 2004. I'm dead serious here. The long term damage the two of them could do is truly frightening to our national security. We need to support Bush and stop all the bashing. He could sign 500 CFR bills and it wouldn't add up to selling one national security secret to the Chinese. The soccer mom's are already swooning over Edwards. Sound familiar? Yikes!

Thanks for pinging me to these threads. I can lurk at work but can't post. I really appreciate it. Sometimes they get buried by the time I get home and I'd miss them. Thanks!!!

Press Gallery Chairman Chris Fisher said: "...This would be extraordinarily bad value for money. As someone who often admired Bill Clinton when he was in office I'm very disillusioned."

As well you should be, dipwad.
