Boy you sure seem to have a bee in your bonnet over this. FYI, my wedding vows are 'for time and all eternity' but that's a whole other issue.

Bottom line is that I can't even understand being able to start looking for a date so soon after, let alone actually getting married. If she is getting married as an attempt to 'undo' what happened, then it is a form of denial and she has more unhappiness ahead of her.

Mine as well were taken and honored. Actually they are vows only for our time on earth as we are neither married nor given in marriage in the hereafter {eternity}. Now as I tried to point out to you perhaps she was not looking for a DATE! but some companionship someone to talk too. If a love develops that is what was intended for man and woman to happen who are you are I to question what may very well be GOD's plan for their lives? Or perhaps maybe I can understand it having gone through it myself. Yea I had unhappiness ahead of me too. So what? You show me where we are promised a perfectly good time on this earth without problems. I knew well just how much my new found love meant to me when she was dying on the way to the hospital. Is that sobering enough? Is that reality enough?

I saw one poster go as far to say that if it was divorce instaed of a death that was OK to remarry that soon as the kids would adapt. Well actually it's a lot worse as they still think daddy is coming home to mommy again. Death settles that issue.

I see many judges from many who have never had the horrid experience themselves. I married two women I dearly loved the only two I ever even dated. The first one I dated seriously for 6 months but knew longer.

There are only so many tears the human body can produce. It is NOT HEALTHY to grieve for a year without the pain easing nor for that matter 6 months. It took me two weeks just to face my job again. Or should I have taken a years leave of absense from that as well? Hey why not a persons judgement by the standards listed by some in this thread is just not there. Should the widows wear black as well? Walk around and say unclean? Till it happens to you and you face it lighten up on your judgements on something you know nothing about.
