I can do you one better. I was into black powder guns back then (still have them). I opted to do and oral presentation rather than written paper on the topic of the Civil War. With my teachers permission I brought my 1860 Colt Navy Revolver as a visual aid. This was a fireable weapon if loaded (I brought no bullets or powder, but did bring a few percussion caps - primers). I showed them how the soldiers had to load and fire the weapon. The demo ended with the firing of a percussion cap and then passing the pistol around the class. If that happened today, the teacher and I both would be doing hard time!

Okay, You topped mine because they let you touch off a cap. I had a top of the line 61/2 foot aluminum blowgun...rifled and acrylic waxed tube. I did a demonstration of it for speech class...the target I used was a piece of plywood the size of a paperback book and I put 5 darts in the black...The speech teacher was really impressed...I gave him the info for the manufacturer and everything...I used to nail birds for my cats with it...lost a lot of darts but if you aimed high you could get a second shot off if you missed.

I was always facinated by those ads for blow huns that I used to see in the back of Guns & Ammo. I almost sent away for one. I am impressed by your hunting prowress with one. You're certainly not someone to be messed with.

LOL! I get this great visual of you blowing a dart through the forehead of an unruly student!

How boring show and tell must be these days when you can't bring pistols and blow-guns to school anymore.

I love primitive weapons...I have a whole collection of throwing knives and I'm really deadly with tomahawks... I can stick em with either hand and have thrown four at once and stuck them and...drum roll please...At my range they have an admittedly oversize cross section of a tree for practice with...a dirt road the right distance from the target and I had a buddy drive me past it at about 10 miles and hour and I can say I can be accused of a driveby Tomahawking! I'm also very fond of my wristrocket...lots of squirrels have met the insides of pets of mine thereby...I imagine they're still finding marbles in odd places in Ohio.

I have one achilles heel in self control and a guy on this forum actually managed to push my button. I love animals and he was making gross remarks(to a woman) about some jerks who were mauling people's pet cats with their pit bull and then running over them with their car while they were still alive. Its very fortunate the poster had not been where I could have got my hands on him when I first read it...All better now...its a free country |-)

People like that deserve getting a taste of their own medicine. A good drive-by Tomahawking would do them some good. You could probably get a nice rabid PETA lawyer to defend you (I destest the group, but even the devil does a good deed now and then).
