The simpsons hit their peak in the mid 1990's...however the show is still good...I can watch the reruns over and over again and crack up....in fact ones on now... ....
One of my favourite quotes from the show...
Prepare for Victory!
Victory? We're French, we don't even have a word for it.

Did anyone else see the shirt that Homer was wearing as they walked onto the beach? It was a picture of the globe, with a bite out of it, and Uncle Sam hovering orev top of it with a grisly look on his face. The caption on the shirt said, "Try and Stop Us!". I waslaughing for 5 minutes, what a riot.
Did anyone else catch that? I figured surely there would have been a post or three on FR about it. Oh, and does anyone know where I could get a picture of it from the episode?

Figured that Brazil would have to get in line behind the Japanese. And the French...
Hank Scorpio: Homer, which country do you hate more, France or Italy?
Homer: France.
Scorpio: No one ever says Italy.

Give Rio a break. When it was the only city that kept Marion Barry's Washington, DC from being THE murder capital of the world.
I though South Africa would have that award

I hope these folks aren't planning on suing in U.S. court. If so, they ought to save themselves the trouble and expense. Case law over CENTURIES provides that PARODY is not actionable unless it is done for malicious intent--d*mned hard to prove, that.

Brazil is an insignificant country. Who cares what they think?

This would explain Brazil's take on foreign affairs. I immediately thought of that trip to Japan. The Simpsons isn't an American show anyway. No one even knows where Springfield is!

And the French... Doesn't Australia have priority?

When Brazil pays the World Bank back the billions it owes (read never gonna happen) then we can let FOX make restitution.

Maybe that's why they're suing - it's their only potential source of dollars to back up their funny-money currency.
