Novak is OK, but Carlson is a little twit with a bowtie who CNN expects will get females to tune in. Bring in Alan Keyes- he'd kick some Cajun backside.

So who on the conservative side is the equal of Begala and Carville? Is there anyone?

On the scale of THOSE 2?None.Not Yet.Last night,on Hannity and "The Dope",They had on a Former Reagan official Robert Levin(?) who was on w/ Ellen Ratnor, and he REFUSED to let "The Dope" or Ellen interrupt him.Wonderfully 'caustic' comments/truths "AT" both of them.(She just wouldn't answer "is Mr. FAT a Terrorist?,and later finally gave in and said "Yes,BUT...blah blah blah").Unfortunately,Elected Repubs. don't choose to use their "Verbal Firepower',which is completely a bad thing, cause if we're so "EVIL" as they've so effectively labelled us, we may as well "Meet Their Criteria" IMHO.

Do you work for a cable or satellite company?

This lady did work for one of the N. Cali cables until about two years ago. She said basically the same as you did in your reply, your reply: The contract is a pure X subscribers times Y cents/mo/subscriber = Z payment deal. However, they do know what you block and what you watch. Their payments are based on the # of subscribers and what is watched. The blocking knowledge may be an internal data used by them in negotiating rates.

With the satellite system, the customers are ided with a smart card just for each individual. The satellite companies definitely know what you are watching and even what commercials for billing purposes.

This is why I keep asking if anyone here on FR works for a satellite tv company and a cable company.

This is why I would like to hear from someone actually works for a cable and a satellite company and knows the ins and outs of what we are talking about.

I actually watch a few programs on Fox Network, 24, Dark Angel. So I will not be blocking it.

Dish did not carry the local NBC channel for months last year. We did not even know that they weren't carrying it until a relative visited and tried to get NBC, and we found out that it was blocked. We never missed it nor knew that it was blocked by Dish for months. They could block ABC and we would never miss it. My wife watches JAG and something else on CBS and that is it for the major networks in our home.

"Carlson is a lightweight."

Is this guy ever a "lightweight" -- even Bill Press used to shred him to bits, and now he is asked to fend off the likes of evil incarnates the 'Alien' and the 'Forehead'?? If this current 'Crossfire' set up of GOP vs. Dems were a tag team match, this would be like pairing up Hulk Hogan and Macho-Man Savage vs. Andy Kaufman and Olive Oyl.

CNN apparently has a sadistic sense of humor.

But to say he's WORSE than those 2 Paid Clinton Shills, that just doesn't register w/ my brain at all.

The reason that I think Novak is worse than Carville and Begala is that Novak hurts us more. No one believes the ranting of Carville and Begala any more. But some are persuaded by Novak’s pretense of fairness to trust his opinion. And that gives him the power to influence and persuade and to damage our cause. The essential point is that he is called in at the important moments to condemn our candidates and our vital positions and he always complies. He would not have lasted on CNN if he had not done so.

Since Levin was replaced as CEO of AOL/Time-Warner on April 1 by Parsons, a Republican, it may be that the extreme bias of CNN may soon begin to lessen. Let's hope.

If CNN were to put on real conservatives like Ann Coulter and a number of others, they would rip Carville and Begala to pieces like a cross-cut paper shredder! :-) I don't think CNN would love THAT. (chuckle)

I agree. It is obvious that this station has an agenda and I tend to like my news programming a little more fair and balanced.
