Cuba IS flooded with American products already, and with tourists as well.

I don't think you fully understand what goes on there, Castro holds every card in Cuba. There would never be an unrestricted flow of American products into Cuba, Castro doesn't allow for that to happen BECAUSE of the possibility of having just the sort of consequence that you mention.

Cuba can buy American goods in any market in the world. They can simply buy it through other countries...and they do.

Just not for their citizens.

No one but Castro's tiny ruling elite can afford to buy all these products, and Castro carefully regulates who can come to Cuba and how many. Realistically, the only way to displace these communists is militarily. He will always be propped up economically by his investments and his numerous allies, including the ones he has in our own country.
