Barak and Clinton totally screwed the peace process...that's what happens when personal legacy becomes more important than anything else....even world peace. As you know, Clinton was desperately seeking the Nobel Peace Prize at any cost. Yet, awarding it to Yasser Arafat , in my mind permanently depreciated any honor connected to it. People should be attempting to avoid it, even shun it, rather than seek it. But we are talking about Clinton here so the media and the other world leftists would have ballyhooed it into a gigantic accomplishment so as to further the Clinton Plan - for him to be U.N. Secretary General and her President of the United States, simultaneously. Would we continue to exist after that?

After leaving a meeting with Sharon, Netanyahu announced that he would be leaving for the United States next week to do what he has already been doing: stating the Israeli cause in the strongest and clearest terms, including his personal mantra that the Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat must go.WOOHOO!!! Clapclapclap.
According to the radio report, translated by BBC, Netanyahu accepted the P.R. position under the condition that he would not coordinate his information campaign with the foreign ministry but rather deliver the same messages he has already been touting in Israel, the U.S. and around the world.
Take THAT, Shimon, you weasel! :) This delights me. And should send a clear message to Peres.

Really? If Arafat really gave Zinni the finger, which was NOT a smart thing to do - Zinni's certain to report it to his boss Colin Powell, who in turn will inform the President about it. What all this means is the U.S will wink to Israel and let them know they don't object to their giving Arafat the boot. I can just hear the outraged screams from the Eurotrash and the Arab tyrants by now. I do know the U.S response to all this nonsense will be: "bite me!"

I just had a delightful visual - Powell is at his desk, carefully examining copies of translated documents taken from Arafat's compound. As he gets to Arafat's unmistakable signature, an aide buzzes in with "Secretary Powell, General Zinni is on the phone. He has just left Ramallah."

LOL!
You'd think, wouldn't ya. I always picture him with his hands over his ears, his eyes shut tight while he babbles "lalalalalalala, I can't hear you!" :)
Did you catch the article the other day that quoted Peres excusing Arafat for not stopping the suicide bombings? Peres said "It takes a long time to get the word out." The man is suffering from self-inflicted delusion.

No, I did not catch that one... thank goodness I missed it, or I would have popped a blood vessel!!! Wouldn't be prudent!
I don't know how Perez manages to stay despite his idiocy. I suppose his view is "I have invested my entire life into this lie, I might as well put in my last nickel"
Well, hopefully BiBi's new position and freedom to say what he wants w/o consulting Perez will finally push Perez out, or at the very least into the irrelevant fringes of obscurity he so richly deserves!

"Sharon has elected to dub the former prime minister as his public relations point man, according to a Voice of Israel radio broadcast Thursday."This confirms what I suspected when Sharon overruled Peres and launched Operation Defensive Shield: The patriot in Sharon has at last won out over the politician. Netanyahu will become PM next year no matter what. This move by Sharon might bring that about this year instead, but he's clearly prepared to accept that for the good of his country.

"So I think the only difference between him and Hamas is that Hamas calls for Israel's destruction in Arabic and in English, whereas Arafat only does it in Arabic." LOL! Good answer.
GOOD NEWS FOR BIBI FANS!!!!!
For sure. I've always liked him.

Arafat just told Zinni that he accepts peace ceasefire but WILL NOT RENOUNCE TERRORISM He will not renounce terrorism because he is responsible for much of it.
