Dead on, Hutch!
The Israelis are going to hand over the Bill of Goods they've got on Arafat and Fatah's command structure, monies, and front groups. Powell knows that he's being lied to by Yasir. He's not the marshmallow that a lot of you people think he is.
Arafat is toast. Bush basically bypassed him in his speech. Arafat will be told that his disruption efforts on behalf of his old friend Saddam will not affect our intentions towards Baghdad.
Arafat will be told: get with the program, or else.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

No, we're buying time to get ready to go after Saddam and Iran.
Not simultaneously. Saddam first.
"One at a time" is the stratefy in this war.

[Bush] requests Israel pull out of the West Bank And THAT is called rewarding terror. Teaching your new borns to hate and raising your kids to be murderous human bombs does really pay off, doesn't it.
Neville Chamberlain comes to mind, Winston Churchill not.

It will be the first one that twitches the wrong way.
We've got to wait for one of them to make the "first move", and then counter it hard. Care to bet Bahrain's ambassador is serving as the courier for a note to Saddam?

"The recent Arab League support of Crown Prince Abdullahs initiative for peace is promising, is hopeful, because it acknowledges Israels right to exist" If UBL acknowledges USA's right to exist, would GWB negotiate with him? I think not.

Re#79 Me too. Not much to criticize though. What irks me most is the Clymers in the leftstream presstitution racket's "180 turn" cr*p. This speech was made with Sharon's blessing....

I heard all of his speech as well.I ,as usual, was yelling "go get 'em Dubya". I thought it was a very powerful speech from a very powerful President Bush. The liberal media is not my filter of what is true or what is powerful.I have a brain and I use it.
To: Rokke
The "mainstream" media also includes Utah's "Family Values Talk Radio" station KNRS. They are all saying the same thing about how Bush wants Israel to pull out.

Yeah and Bush saying that, "Israeli settlement activity in occupied territories must stop." Yeah, it all went and said as planned--by Arafat.

I don't think that you are dreaming. The only modification is that Sharon has until next week to finish this phase of eradicating the terrorist organizers under Arafatty!

It must be lonely being you.

Neville Chamberlain comes to mind, Winston Churchill not. Appeasement? Hardly. Do you not find it striking that Israel announced not even 1 hour after the Bush speech that they were ready to withdrawl in 72 hours. They agreed to this... frankly I doubt if Powell will be over there by next Wednesday.
We are giving the Israelis all the time they need. They announced it was a temporary action.
Appeasement cannot include an action by us to request something be done, that was already planned to be done anyway. Dont you agree?
Sharon just announced the action will continue - Israel knows who this puts us behind, read the speech notice how many lines devoted to blaming the terrorists, other Arab countries and Arafat.

Not saying it hasn't been tried before.
I am saying it appears that is what is being tried now.
