Now, do you think that I would dare to answer or respond to your statement about menopausal women senators?
So how is the weather in Medford today and for tomorrow?
To: Grampa Dave
"So how is the weather..."
Nice 'change the subject' try, Gramps; so what do you really think about menopausal senators? lol

Private property will become obsolete under this bill. Can't say I see the problem. There is already state and local land use planning. Is it the cooperation between the feds and the local governments that is the danger?

"Can't say I see the problem..."
Planning(by gubmint) is Socialism. That's the problem.

Planning(by gubmint) is Socialism. That's the problem. Sure, but what is new about this Bill? Planning has been going on since the Revolution.
To: RightWhale
"...what is new about this bill?"
It's comprehensive, 'rational', and 'total' in its application.
This is not the normal 'ad hoc' planning crap which is normally a cover for the usual self-dealing by local and state politicos for fun and profit.
This bill provides legislative cover for virtually any seizure by stealth these b*stards try to pull. There'll be little to stop them.

will forward stuff to you.

Here is the agenda 21 plan for santa cruz county agriculture:
II. Desired State
We
--who??? want to maintain a viable agriculture in Santa Cruz County as a major economic sector that follows sound ecological, social and humane practices. We endorse sustainable agricultural practices that foster biologically active and living soils, protect air and water quality, and maintain our farmland base. We support educational centers and programs for increasing public understanding, appreciation, and participation in agriculture.
III. Goals for Year 2000 Santa Cruz County has many opportunities to sustain its agricultural production and marketing into the 21st century. Goals include:
A.Protect county farmland from urban development.
B.Maintain
sufficient water quality and quantity.
-- note: they don't mean abundant C.Develop alternative crop protection methods to reduce pesticide use.
D.Prepare the agricultural community for the probable phase-out of the fumigant, methyl bromide.
--not economically viable, see Brussels and the bulb industry E.Secure land tenure to provide incentives for farmers to conserve natural resources.
--this means FARMERS DON'T OWN THE LAND-- THE GOVERNMENT DOES F.Development of local and direct markets.
G.Facilitate knowledge of organic farming principles and techniques to those farmers who wish to make the transition.
--spread farming techniques known NOT TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THE CURRENT POPULATION, OR ANY POPULATION GROWTH H.Improve use of organic matter by the diversion of green material for the production of quality finished compost.
-- meaning that we have to plant so much land in biomass, that there is no land for anything else, especially for humans to live on it I.Integrate native species in production agriculture, landscaping and range land management.
--grow crap that is unpalatable and uneconomical to bankrupt farmers and give people only the barely subsistance level of food production

PA info on PA messages page. The bill on wells is the correct bill. IT is insideous, a creation of an entirely new bureaucracy to control your land and water usage, and MUST BE DEFEATED!

Does this bill have a number?
HR2829 is another bill in Congress that is designed to require better science than the junk science that has been used time and again by the armies of the night to deny citizens the use of their land through the Endangered Species Act.
We need make a collective effort to either scrap the ESA entirely, or take it a step at a time and reform it, pull its teeth, so that it can no longer be used as the buzzsaw it is, and has been, to prune the Tree of Liberty of its protective shade.
Separation of church and state was one idea our government was founded upon. Environmentalism is the religion used by a Conglomerate of foundations, corporations, environmental whacks, and bureaucracy to deny citizens the use of their property. The complaints of citizens is often ignored. The plight of the Klamath Basin farmers is but one eample.
I could pose a canny analogy to our nation's early days in which legitimate grievances were ignored, and a crisis followed. It should be obvious to us all that we need to act in unison if we want to be heard. The question is do we care enough to do so?
This bill (number?) appears to be another case of the gradual and silent pruning of the Tree of Liberty that has been ignored for too long. The whacks can climb a tree to defend it, but few are willing to defend the Tree of Liberty.

Found it: HR1433, the house version apparently, and S975, the senate version.
