(Brussels 1-April) In a joint statement the leaders of the European Union's western democracies unanimously agreed that the recent wave of suicide bombings in Israel is terrorism by any definition and that the Israeli people and the IDF are justified in responding by any means necessary to safeguard themselves in the face of such attacks. The communique also harshly criticised PLO leader Yasser Arafat for condemning violence in English to the world media while strongly encouraging suicide bombings in Arabic to his own people.

Hallelujah! They are responding (finally) to President Bush's strong statements of these exact truths! OUr President said these very things on Saturday and urged all nations to come out strongly against terrorist attacks against Israel and for Israel's right to defend itself!

OK I bought this one, believing for a moment that a ray of common sense had somehow reached Europe.

I think I'll be glad when it's April 02 so I can read these posts without such skepticism.
