I'm an Anglo-Saxon male who could care less about middle east politics. I like Jews and I like Arabs but I am totally indifferent to their causes. That said, my unbiased perception is that, if anything I am getting a pro-Isreal presentation of the thing from our media. Notwithstanding, and maybe I don't know all the facts but I'm sure I've heard plenty of the Isreali point of view, it looks a lot to me like the country that is occupying, invading and bulldozing the homes of the Palestinians is upset that the Palestinians are making it painful for them.

Whether or not it may be true that perhaps the Palestinians would keep it up even if Isreal withdrew, that is a very hypothetical assumption. Meanwhile, what appears to be actually happening is that the Palestinians are suffering from grave violations of their inalienable rights by an occupying military force. If Isrealis don't like being bombed, why are they bulldozing houses and settling where a bunch of people want to kill them? Duh! I sure know that I wouldn't want to evict a bunch of people and then move into their house in a very bad neighborhood where people hated me even if I was entitled to.

I don't care to attract the ire of the vehemently pro Isreal types who appear to dominate this site these days so let me say that I could care less about any of it. I'm just calling it like I see it. I think they're all nuts. At least the Palestinians can claim that they're on defense. That argument lasts about as long for Isreal as it takes to see who has tanks where. Now that we're all sorry that we essentially did the same thing to the Native Americans that Isreal is doing to the Palestinians, it strikes me that people are so sympathetic to Isreal. My mind is open, but after hearing plenty about it, this is how it looks to this white man.
