This HAS been published before on FR, most recently February 2001. It needs repeating.
I can't emphasize enough that we have to understand the REAL aims of the Palestinians and the whole Arab world.
They aim for no less than the total extermination of the Jews; they want to emulate their hero Hitler and finish the Final Solution he started.
It's taken time for them to consolidate their power; now we're seeing the evil unleashed once again.

they should go away and try consolidating some more, because they have no chance of victory in this one. israel will not fall again

Arafat and his minions are sand nazis. Like the originals, albeit in filthy nightshirts and khaffiyeh.

This is the sick truth which is so often swept aside and conveniently forgotten.

Wasn't this the plot line for "Raiders of the Lost Ark?"

Stupid Arabs. Had they supported Stalin and not Hitler, they would be making movies in Hollywood today.

In spite of claims that Jews run the world's media, the sad fact is that Israel has not been effective in getting the truth into the world media.
When I read this, and read the PLA charter, it is only too obvious that arabs want all Jews dead (or at the very least, out of Israel).
Fortunately most Israeli's do know they cannot afford to lose even one war.
No matter what one thinks of the UN, Israel is an "official" country. History reveals they have been attacked four times, and have prevailed each of those times.
Those four times were essentially by arab state armies. Only this fifth time, has the attack been guerrilla warfare. I suspect no arab state wants to risk military defeat of their army.
I vote for the US to do the right thing, and support Israel. Israel and the US are the only entities, to seriously work towards a peaceful settlement. At present, I believe the only viable arrangement is to separate the two parties.

A local radio show, just the other day, made mention of the fact that Mein Kampf is the sixth best seller in a number of Arab nations. I don't know what his sources were and I don't remember the countries, though he named quite a few. I heard it in passing on the way to work one morning. Found it interesting if true.

I have reference to this same "Grand Mufti" in a book called,...
" A Peace to End All Peace" 'The Fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Creation of the Modern Middle East'(David Fromkin / Avon books) pp 517-518
It is a short reference, but records the establishment of the title/position of Grand Mufti of Palestine, and the subsequent alliance with Hitler.
It is interesting to note that it was Pro-Arab/Anti-Jewish British administrators of the Palestinian Territories that established the position and title of Grand Mufti, and installed Amin al-Husseini, who was not even one of the 3 candidates for the position.

Yasser Arafat's given name, as an Egyptian, was Abd al-Rahman abd al-Bauf Arafat al-Qud al-Husseini. this former mufti was his "uncle."
i think that this is a VERY important fact that is being overlooked--arafat conveniently dropped the al-Husseini from his name to avoid people figuring out the connection
