Sound like Dole did the right thing strategically.
This is what the Senator Hillary has brought us, campaigns with no debates and issue discussisons.

This is what the Senator Hillary has brought us, campaigns with no debates and issue discussisons. Much as I hate Hillary this one rest at the feet of the RNC and White House. It like others is a state matter and national leadership should stay out till the primaries are over. Bush & RNC has no business trying to run any states elections especially their primaries. That is what makes for not getting issues debated and best person for the job elected.

Mrs. Dole should have used her atomic temporal expander to make more time for these crybabies to market themselves. Shame on her and the Republicans for holding back on the technology.

thing to be different?
I voted for GW, and I was pretty sure he was a globalist, but I
knew Al Gore was.
So much for the lesser of two evils.

Elizabeth Dole was the keynote speaker at the Cabarrus County Republican Party's annual Reagan Day dinner on Monday. Other GOP candidates were invited to attend but not speak. From what I can tell, the two other candidates were not invited to speak, so tough nuts. Sorry, but when I attend fundraisers I don't just walk up to the podium and start babbling away unless I am scheduled by the hosts.

Sure you did, and this is just the thing to make you vote for "buckhead the nazi sympathizer" again.

"Mrs. Dole should have used her atomic temporal expander to make more time for these crybabies to market themselves. "HA HA.... Oh well, I guess the North Carolina GOP can be afford to have all the conservative Republicans stay home during the Election after Lizzy wins the primary? I would vote for a Democrat before I would vote for that "big government RINO".

"Sorry, but when I attend fundraisers I don't just walk up to the podium and start babbling away unless I am scheduled by the hosts." hehe...Why not? Are you chicken? Perhaps it is because you are not running for Senator in the party who is holding the fundraiser?

Bush & RNC has no business trying to run any states elections especially their primaries. That is what makes for not getting issues debated and best person for the job elected. You won't see Bush respecting that wish. He has actively played GOP primary politics, favoring "economic conservatives" (i.e. limousine RINO's) over real conservatives, while governor of Texas.
The Texas GOP is now crawling with RINO's, and conservatives are very nearly shut out -- just the reverse of the situation eight years ago, when conservatives and conservative GOP candidates were driving the GOP to victory after victory, and totally blowing out the DemonRats from Texas judgeships.

The same was done when Bush Jr. ran. All the support was given to him so he could win the nomination. I totally agree. The GOP 15 years ago had some semblance of a Main Street party at the state level in Texas, and conservatives were listened to at the national level.
Now the GOP has been taken over completely by a rich men's cabal, and Dubya is their anointed. Remember how the old power-structure personalities kept visiting Dubya in 1998 and 1999, long before the primaries? He had most of a cabinet in his living room even then.

The two wrongs of Richard Nixon. Number 1 was his lie to the American People. Number 2 was picking Gerald Ford. Gerald Ford gave the clueless or rather country club GOP a foot in the White House. They could not hold it. Ronald Raegans biggest mistake was GHW Bush SR. of the Ford GOP persuation. He as well got in the White House and could not hold it. He like Ford alienated the GOP Base. The biggest mistake of We the people? Not seeing that Ford and Bush SR would be the ones calling the shots. In short this can best be considered as the third term of Gerald Ford and the second term of Bush SR combined. The appointed that surrounded these persons brought us failed policy and poor results. The GOP should & could have had the last election in a landslide. I don't look for the next election to be the victory all are dreaming of.
Next is this ridiclous glee over the high approval ratings. These are warning signs to those with half a mind to reason things out. If Bush holds a 80% plus approval rating that means most Dems must be happy as well. Oh Dashell, Teddy, and Gephart, will give the old don't throw me in that briar patch routine the whole time Bush JR is achieving their agenda at least in part to be finished later now that precedent for policy saying the GOP agrees with them has been established. What a mess indeed.
