I agree, we need to promote our own legal revolution and beat them at this game. But we have to be careful. Some of the goods the third world will be selling won't come from uniformed boyscouts selling cigars for charitable purposes.

Fidel will get a much better reception from delegates if he offers to host the Democrats' 2004 Convention in Havana. Elian Gonzalez can show up in his Pioneer uniform and thank the delegates; Raul Castro can make a special presentation to Janet Reno; and Fidel can give the keynote address so that there will be no confusion about the platform. Sounds about right. I'm sure Smith Bagley can set up the reception and Sally Grooms Cowel will be there to work her "cashing in" register.

I think Castro is afraid of President Bush. I may be wrong, but I seem to remember that some months ago, the White House listed Fidel as a terrorist, along with some others. When a president of one of the South American countries was visiting Bush in D.C., it is reported that he asked Bush
to lighten up on the embargo and Castro, wherein Bush replied, he didn't deal with terrorists. (close enough)

I know that Mexico City has a tremoundous Cuban population and every one of those families will tell you, they had to get out of Castro's oppressive regime. Those Cubans I am told, love living in Mexico and would never ever want anything to do with Cuba, as long as their government works the way it has for so many years of oppression. Therefore, I don't understand why Fox did not drop Castro from the list of attendees.

Therefore, I don't understand why Fox did not drop Castro from the list of attendees. The majority of the Mexican Congress is still held by the PRI, the corrupt party that's held Mexico in poverty for the last 70 years. It probably would have been a bigger stink if he had not been invited. Castro would have loved that. As it was, Castro fabricated an "incident" just to get headlines and an entertaining table pounding topic for Cubans to watch for hours on state run TV.
