Independent Counsel Robert Ray concludes in his final Whitewater report that the land venture benefited from criminal transactions but there was “insufficient evidence” to prove former President Clinton or his wife participated in wrongdoing.

And according to a jury of his peers, there was insufficient evidence to prove that OJ Simpson murdered his wife and her friend..

"Her legal work on the project wasn’t disclosed until 1996, when her law firm billing records, which had been subpoenaed earlier in the case, were found in the White House family residence. "

Hey Pete Yost TM (DNC) how long ago was "earlier"?

"The $70 million investigation of the Clintons which started in 1994 engendered bitterness in Washington and across America as Democratic defenders clashed with Republican opponents over the merits of the Whitewater allegations. "

LOL! Look how hard Pete Yost TM (DNC) had to work to meet the requirement that DNC owned reporters portray this as just a dispute between Clinton defenders and Clinton opponents.

Too bad there doesn't seem a place to e-mail or otherwise contact them. These Clintons have bought just about everyone with any power off.

Here's why ----- ( http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a389fc8b91467.htm

A failed Colorado savings and loan whose board of directors included a son of President Bush was part of an intricate web of federally insured financial institutions that had business links to organized crime figures and CIA operatives, The Houston Post has learned.

On this transaction, there was no promissory note listed, no deed of trust filed and the vendor's lien in the deed was marked out. In addition, the prior lien of Wood Bros. was neither listed nor released. "That is a very squirrelly deal," said one real estate lawyer who asked that his name not be used.
Four of the largest borrowers at Silverado Savings and Loan, a Denver thrift that collapsed in December 1988 at an estimated cost to the federal government of $1 billion, had connections to convicted Louisiana mob associate Herman K. Beebe Sr., or to Robert L. Corson, a Houston developer and alleged CIA operative.

Three of the four also had independent business relationships with Neil Bush, who was a member of the Silverado board from 1985 until he resigned in August 1988, a week after his father won the Republican presidential nomination.

The U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision in January issued orders barring five former Silverado officials from any future association with federally insured financial institutions.

Neil Bush was questioned by the OTS and was asked to sign a consent order by which he would agree to avoid conflicts of interest in any future relationships he might have with federally insured financial institutions.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Mr. Ray! Criminal activity all around the Clintonistas in all the many scandals, but magically no evidence to indict or convict the two elitists. Could it be that there were no indictments because no prosecutor such as yourself had the backbone to do what was right.

Christ with all the scandals these two were involved in , is it any wonder (1) that they accomplished so little in office and (2) that Chelsea has no chance with their genes.

Only a tenth as much was spent investgating these con-persons as they spent globe trotting. Let's leave them to the footnotes in history books. We have real men and women in charge now, and just in time!

"Insufficient evidence exists to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that either Governor or Mrs. Clinton knowingly participated in the criminal financial transactions used by McDougal to benefit Whitewater," the report said.

I'm not a lawyer, but this might be my chance to play one on the internet:

It has always been my understanding that the prosecutors job was to develop probable cause and the jury's job to decide if reasonable doubt exists.

Whiewater Whitewash.

PBS Frontline has information on their website on Whitewater and Castle Grande. It is a very interesting website. The testimony of the bank examiner is on the site.

Nonsense. There was plenty of evidence. We needed someone like Joe DeGenova, not Ken Starr and Robert Ray.

Before responding to me, it was a shame you didn't read what I wrote and pay attention to the tense. Had you paid attention, you would have surely realized that "needed" does not mean that I am advocating spending another 70 million bucks. It does mean, however, that people were chosen to prosecute who clearly did not have the huevos to do what should have been done. Had we spent a billion I would not have minded if it put the criminal pair in a 6 x 9 cell together on Alcatraz.

In an attempt to reduce his prison sentence, Jim McDougal cooperated with prosecutors. He died was murdered in prison, leaving investigators without their most important witness.

Agreed. Now look for Ray to announce that he's running against the scu%bag torricelli here in Jersey. He's counting on those headlines that proclaim "CLINTON'S CLEARED" to obsolve him of being a part of some right wing conspiracy during the campaign. He will be mistaken. The RATS will use it every chance they get and Ray will have learned a lesson from them.
