U.S. DOLLARS TO FIGHT RUSSIAN MONEY LAUNDERING. The U.S. Treasury Department has pledged up to $3 million to assist Russia in combating money laundering, the Moscow Times reports. A formal agreement, signed between the Treasury Department and Russia's Financial Monitoring Committee(FMC), will provide funds for FMC staff and developing Committee databases. The American aid is expected to significantly boost both the effectiveness and capabilities of the Committee, which was allocated merely $6 million from the Russian federal budget this year.
And Ann Williamson of Contagion said Ted was a scapegoat, that the rape of Russia profited the Clintons, Rubin, Summers and a half dozen Russian "reformers"--no doubt including Al Armpit Gore's pal Chernomyrdin.
