When I was a kid there was a hotel/restaraunt in my area...

I and a friend would hang at the kitchen door and a guy named Tony would give us bunches of those little plastic packages of saltine crackers!

He went into a VA and though we were no more than 7/8 we went and visited him.

He died!!

I also watched my Grandfather die in VA hospital!!

Still, I'll try to do as you ask and go again, there must be at least one squid who needs a friend!!!

I know what you feel, Nitro.
I'm a recovering alcoholic who has been to several VA hospitals trying to carry the message of AA.
I've been in some of those rooms way down at the end of the hall where they put those who are going to die there.
It's so very sad.
The care provided our vets is deplorable in the hospitals in which I've been.
But if it makes us sad, can you imagine how they feel day after day?
