Nonsense, when nearly a third of all black males will end up in the justice systems, or when black-on-white violent crime is over 11 times greater than white-on-black violent crime.
It's particularly amusing to hear blacks talk about how cab drivers won't pick up black fares in urban areas. Presumably, this is because the driver's are "racist." Of course, most cab drivers where I live are recent immigrants, many from Africa.
Facts are not "racist." The truth, or having the temerity to discuss it, is not racist. If facts make you uncomfortable, tough.
This young man is prime example of following after his only desire to rob and sell drugs, instead of thanking God for the football talent and utilizing this talent to better life for himself and his family. If the black community was truly spiritually minded then violence, drugs, and sexually immorality would have a choke hold on our community.
I don't see anydifference with pellet gun or a .22 and being a hardened criminal. He's at least a 3 time loser. It's not like he was caught drinking or something.
And St Paddy's day is gonna SUCK.(sniff). This is going to be the first St Paddy's day in a long time that I won't be smashed.
Teacher317, the "jungle" comment is a common racist phrase... think about where blacks come from (Africa). I've seen it used most often in conjuction with the N-word. He wasn't saying that kids were born as savages and must be tamed, he was saying that they can't be tamed, period.
No great leap of logic there. All of his comments were extremely negative generalizations about the black race in general. The only time they make good grades is when they are shot IS not a variation on "shot kids always are honor students", it's also "they're all failures as a whole."
And, well, the comment about blacks being the welfare tribe of America that must be eliminated... you give too much credit to him. Obviously JR found it bad enough to be removed (and, no, I didn't hit the abuse button on that one).
Like it or not, but the most extreme comments are the ones that are put out in the media spotlight (read any article on FR by a third party)... which is why we must take care to not to just let them slide or justify them just as you were doing.
Methinks this guy may have realized that it was likely he'd get caught on the third robbery attempt, and may thus have figured that he could weasel his way out of hard time if he only had a 'harmless little pellet gun'. Even if he used a sub-18"/26" shotgun in his earlier robberies, it would be impossible to charge him with using it unless either the police could recover and measure it or unless it was caught on video that allowed for unambigious identification as such. For the clerk to be overly certain in his identification of the sawed-off shotgun might lead to questions of why he didn't recognize the pellet gun [though given that pellet-gun injuries can be fatal, many states would regard even a recognizable pellet gun as a deadly threat].
Take the Japanese, for example; although they have virtually no religion, they have a very low crime rate. They have a socialist system of medical care that works very well. It works because there is virtually no abuse of the system, which would be highly frowned upon by the great majority of the people.
Traditional conservative values of hard work and honesty that keeps people in line.
Anyone who "perceives" FR to be a nutjob site is intellectually dishonest and lacks credibility, so you should have no concern for what they think ( do they have any concern for what we think ?).
Good point--- you continue to show unusual perception and wisdom.
