No WAY! could they get something like this through on September 12th. Or October 12th. Or November 12th. Or December 12th. And so on. The country was in NO MOOD FOR THIS NONSENSE!!!!
But come March 12th, six months out, they popped their heads up from their holes in the ground and saw their chance. They perceived an erosion in America's resolve to straighten out our whole Immigration quamire and disorder.
They indulged in opaque and nefarious parliamentary games.
Well, they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Bush almost had my vote for 2004 because of his moral resolve and response to 9-11 and general leadership.
He's lost it now.
Along with any pro-immigration-disorder Republican in the House.

I'm baffled that Ron Paul voted for this heinous treachery. He's know to be a firm Constitutionalist and he's from Texas. What was he thinking? I was wondering the exact same thing. Why did Paul vote for it?

This is almost reminiscent of the time they passed the WTO.
A real slime job.

Count this as the first time I'm going on the record here on FR expressing my disgust with Bush and the House Pubbies. I'm a broken glass Conservative and I donated nearly 5% of my income in 2000 to get a Pubbie in office. Why must a Bush seems to always have to veer to the middle once elected. We have to put a stop to this annexation by Mexico not encourage it. I'm very disappointed.

Hi Dane. Oops, you forgot again to distinguish between legal and illegal immigration. Are you for both? Or for the first and not the second? Please clarify.
To: fivecatsandadog
would only apply to illegal immigrants who can prove The "undocumented" aka illegal immigrants don't have any proof, they either get paid in cash or are using false Social Security numbers and other false identification. Their "proof" of anything now would be extremely questionable. They didn't care about legal status when they chose to come illegally ---I don't understand the big effort to offer it to them on a silver platter now----why not treat them like other immigrants and expect them to follow the rules?

Dane, sorry to burst your bubble, but I was in fact considering a vote for Bush in 2004 because of the current national emergency circumstances. That has indeed evaporated because of these legislative and executive branch hijinks that you so love to support. My hope is that for the GOP, the conservative faction begin to look for somebody to field against him in the primaries or other options.
Con permiso,

Yahweh has nothing to do with it. We have free will and are causing our own destruction. The "gods" who are causing this are men and women known as politicians and people who blindly follow them.
Don't you know, votes are more important than protecting our borders? And it's not just the dems! Once again, the American people have been betrayed! Be patient, more is coming our way. Has anyone noticed that the candidates for Gov in Texas were debating in Spanish according to news reports recently?

Read and deeply ponder #167. In case you have not noticed, there are a lot of alienated out there today because of this development yesterday.

Thank Dane. By your own admission, Ambassador Howard Baker and his entire staff, down to the US Embassy guards here, are all 'TRAITORS'.
You are really digging your hole deeper, aren't you? lol!

Thank Dane. By your own admission, Ambassador Howard Baker and his entire staff, down to the US Embassy guards here, are all 'TRAITORS'. LOL! Still trying to justify your anti-immigrant views while you do the same thing that many immigrants come to the US for, a better life.
BTW, Ambassador Baker represents the US govt. in Japan and probably doesn't show the thinly veiled animus to immigrants that you do.

Poor argument. You think that we in the US Embassy here, or in business, or on US military bases, all in Japan, are "TRAITORS" because we were assigned overseas and we ill be returning after we have finished representing our country or our company?
I guess that Bush's father was a "traitor" too; as you recall, he was posted overseas to China.
Pathetic. Keep trying though. It's fun to witness your implosion. :-)
