WHAT? The blacks in SA were not wealthy. The whites created their own wealth.

The whites got much of their wealth from black labor, and blacks were NOT fairly compensated for it.

Its actually quite funny, yes I do mean funny as opposed to ironic, that the blacks in SA are going to run short of food because they drove out the white farmers. I'm gonna laugh my a$$ off when starvation sets in.

You need to read this South African Diary in the worst way. It is clear that you don't have a clue about South Africa. What you are saying is the sort of crap that comes from some "black studies program" at some equally uninformed college.

The Afrikaners feared being swamped by the English. That's why white immigration was restricted after the National Party came to power in 1948. In hindsight, it probably speeded up the long term decline of the white population from a 1945 peak of 20% to 14% by 1990, but then again politicians are not noted for caring about long term national interests. The Afrikaner politicians were concerned about making sure Afrikaners remained the majority of the white electorate. If that meant losing power down the road, so be it. Seems to me white South Africans got exactly what they wanted while the going was good.

The real problem is that blacks, whereever they are, have not been able to create industries, companies and economies that work. Thus they are forced to resort to extortion from those who have. Redistribution of wealth will never be a solution, only the creation of additional wealth will be but black political activity undermines this.

There's no doubt that Marxism, whatever form it takes and whereever it is practiced, cannot do what the free market does. It never has, and it most certainly never will. Let's just hope that another 60 million lives are not sacrificed at the alter of Marx.

Interesting. Well, all I know is that I'm shocked and slightly saddened that the comments about starvation made by Go Gordon has not generated any outrage whatsoever. This is extremely puzzling to me. I didn't know that the starvation of anyone was a laughing matter.

Now explain why the rest of black Africa, years after colonial rule set up basic western civilized society, now engages in unending circles of violence, mainly black on black. Could it be that white settlers realized that taking the upper hand (being racist)and controlling the masses, which could easily overrun them if organized, were their only logical means of survival. Tribalism is causing black Africa to once again become a splintered continent of thousands of different peoples.

However, with your screen-name, let's go back in History to when another high civilization, Rome, conquered the savage tribes in Gaul, Hispania and Britannia. They were a rather savage lot. The Celts had a rather nasty habit of collecting human heads.

Yet, Rome found a way to integrate the conquered savages into the fabric of the Roman Republic and then the Empire until the time came when the descendants of those savages considered themselves Romans, contributed legionnaires, generals and Emperor's to Rome. The descendants of those savages eventually absorbed and civilized new waves of savages coming in from Germania after the fall of Rome.

The question then becomes if the difference between Western Europe and Africa is due to Rome's policies or to an inherent difference between European tribal savages and African tribal savages.

Were the Celts any less savage than African savages or was Rome more willing to eventually accept a civilized blonde, blue-eyed Celt as a Roman citizen on equal footing with a brown-eyed, black haired Latin while the European colonists in Africa never dreamed of considering an African as a legal equal.

Someone provided a link to some very graphic pictures of murdered farmers and their families a few days ago. That's probably what people are thinking about as this is discussed, and why you not seeing any argument from anyone on gordon's statement.

Were these pics about the farmers in Zimbabwe? I'm not familiar with anything like this happening in South Africa. But I'm far too familiar with the goings on in Zimbabwe.

Well, you have Prince George's County in Maryland. There's Shaker Heights, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland). There's Kessler Park (in Dallas) and Cedar Hill in Texas (suburb of Dallas), and there are quite a few others as well.

You're confusing the inner-city with black middle class neighborhoods.

In post 61, I said he was an "evil person." But most people just shrug it off, they're more interested in protecting white privilege than the free market or human rights. I think most non-racist people just got so sick of these threads they stopped coming.

All that's left are the people who say things like "African-Americans are like Africans anywhere...they are a welfare race. Not from lack of ability, but from the absence of desire and motivation. They are a race of victims, of excuses and unchanneled emotions." And they can temporarily get away with saying this stuff, because they actually outnumber the non-racists on these threads.

This thread is well on its way to being deleted, I can't imagine it remaining up much longer.
