Oh, it hit Oregon about 10 years ago. The only difference is now its out in the open. Remember, this is the state that passed a law saying police aren't allowed to request citizenship imformation. The illegals hit here in mass soon after. What a coincidence.
For the purpose of this section the jurisdiction of such State and local officers and of the State and local courts shall extend over such immigrant station.
This code of law, gives the States the power to shut down any Port of Entry they want, for what ever State law they wish to enforce.
Word is out that Uncle Sam is stupid and is a soft touch.
Don't listen to Alex Jones that much, but a while back I caught him and he was all over Bush for being a phony Texan and a carpetbagger. He does not like Bush at all, and is worse on him than he was with Clinton. With Bush's terminator mentality to shove amnesties down our throats, can't say that I blame him at this point.
This is one dude that supports Bush's WAR actions post 9/11 100%, but vehementlyopposes his actions regarding illegal criminals (read: potential terrorists).
I am voting for a candidate in 2004 that will have the same philosophy as me towards the abroad terrorists AND the domestic illegals (read: potential terrorists).
Bush may be fighting a winning war abroad, but he is losing badly within his own country. He is allowing terrorists to gain legitimacy within our borders.
I wonder how many Muslim terrorists will be able to get Mexican "guest worker" visas?.....I imagine quite a few...and they will be blood on the hands of Bush and Delay and Hastert and any other Congressman that votes for this insane measure on Tuesday.
If Tom Tancredo can prove to me that he will be aggresive in the war abroad, I would support him in a Presidency bid....I already know he is our best ally within our borders.
They absolutely could not. You work for the INS and are really this stupid?
Bush is a liar." Maybe all the 'new' Americans' will be drafted?
Neither can I.
Sorry, boy. You've run into someone who has not only read the document but who didn't even have to get out his copy to refute what you just claimed. Maybe you have read the Constitution, but you obviously disagree with its provisions.
You really are ignorant Twodees. Better bookmark that Depends link.
"Congress' power to admit aliens under whatever conditions it lays down is exclusive of state regulation. The States ''can neither add to nor take from the conditions lawfully imposed by Congress upon admission, naturalization and residence of aliens in the United States or the several states. State laws which impose discriminatory burdens upon the entrance or residence of aliens . . . conflict with this constitutionally derived federal power to regulate immigration, and have accordingly been held invalid.'' Davidowitz, 312 U.S. 52, 66 (1941); Graham v. Richardson, 403 U.S. 365, 376 -380 (1971).)
He said Cheney should resign over Enron & the GAO.
He had the McCainiac on live & slobbered all over him & the Campaign Finance Reform.
Just shows to go ya that even a great mind may slip a cog or two.
His method of running his show is surely the most entertaining-Boortz is similiar but not quite so civil, I think. Boortz has been at it for 30 years & sees the end as too unpleasant- & he is correct about that, as usual.
Well said Citizen!! We had a case here in central Georgia in which a large textile company, that moved here from Massachusetts 75 years ago to take advantage of cheap labor, demand that the locals pay for about 5 million dollars for improvements to the city water system or they would close the mill and move elsewhere. That much money is a huge chunk of change for a town of 3,000 here in Ga. The city council obliged them and two months after the improvements were finished the company announced that they were closing the mill and contracting all the work out to a firm in China. The local taxpayers were left holding the bag.
I'm no socialist, but I do place honor above any economic system. There are many good folks in Barnesville, Georgia who quietly seeth with anger. This type of thing is happening all across our land, and all this pent up anger is going to explode upon the scene one of these days, and it won't be pretty.
The States have authority over the Ports of Entry. They could walk into my office to day and shut us down.
That's not to say the s**t would not hit the fan, but we would comply and let Washington deal with it.
Hey Avocado, resorting to personal attacks?
Just like they may have jurisdiction over a post office when a state crime has occured there. Immigration laws, which are ONLY promulgated by congress by way of the consitution, ARE NOT VIOLATIONS OF STATE LAW.
You are either a demented twit or a deliberate disruptor & I shall not read or correspond with you further. No one else really should encourage anyone of your ilk.
