Well....ummmmm, I suppose that yes one could play mental gymnastics here...if one was so inclined. Let's say I'm inclined for a minute or two...(hehehe.....)
I think, like many things in life....context is needed to, flush out the appropriateness of said tolerance and/or intolerance.
For instance, am I being asked to be tolerant of someone's private practices..? Or their public practices?
I believe you realize the exact context, and the exact way that the socialist/leftist/marxist/demo-sheeple...twist the ''tolerance'' issue.........
So, I bid you FRegards,

You are correct. The Red Crescent was recognized by the IRC years ago. The Israel Red Cross has met all the requirements, but won't be recognized because of pressure from the Red Crescent.

Thanks; I did not know that the Red Crescent had pressured the IRC. I had just assumed that the IRC was independently treacherous, not that this makes them less wicked.
Independent treachery, treachery under pressure; Independent treachery, treachery under pressure ...

"I've been on hold with the Orange County Red Cross for 1/2 hour and they just disconnected me." Apparently they discovered you weren't calling to donate money.

Here is an excellent book on related matters. (I just grabbed a link to the first site I found... don't necessarily recommend this seller over others.)

Thanks for the info on Klamath Falls Relief Fund. Will see what my budget can handle this month.

Don't really need "new charities"....we've got churches - as long as the LEGITIMATE ones are those we send our money to.....

Before the 9-11 RC fiasco, I don't recall hearing anything bad about the RC, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. The main thing I knew about them was that they sent trainers to rural communities to teach first aid, CPR, and lifeguard classes -- all of which I participated in.
These are such worthwhile endeavors and should be to their credit. Unfortunately, their good deeds are now drastically over-shadowed by the revelation of their greed and their anti-American posturing.
They need to FReeped, big time!!!

Remember...don't email, FAX or send it by snail. They must retain all written correspondence.

One suggestion (selfish, OK, I'll admit that) is to donate your own blood if you know you'll be facing surgery soon. Autologous donations, I think it's called.
I'm not sure if donating directly to a hospital is the answer, either, for helping out those in need. Maybe the hospital will mark up the cost and try to pass it along to the patient or the patient's insurance....

BTTT
To: goodnesswins; concerned about politics
"concerned about politics", reminded me of the Salvation Army and that is who will get my donations, I think we still need a charity big enough to be able to be on the scene quickly in floods and natural disasters. They are not political and their only agenda is to help.
To: Askel5
Hope their money is bleeding out as well.
All is fine with me, wish I ran into you a little more often. :-}

..."concerned about politics", reminded me of the Salvation Army and that is who will get my donations,...That, Help Hospitalised Veterans, The Boy Scouts, the local Rescue Mission, and Feed the Children get whatever $ I can spare (which is damn few, after a week's stay in the hospital last month and cataract surgery in December).

I sent a pretty strong message, to their website. In it I identified as an OC resident, veteran, previous donor. I said apologise, or else I will never donate again.
That should be easy for even them to understand.
