talking to you is like talking to a wall...
Why'd you call me out of my name?
It is a simple concept...God does not favor one people over another...regardless of what a book written 400(AD)or so years after the fact says...if you believe it I will call it faith, if I look at it with an open mind you call me a Nazi....sheeeee
not hardly...they are late comers to religion.
Why are you bearing false witness? Where did I call you a "Nazi?"
And why won't you respond to the question of the god you serve?
You said "Why are you bearing false witness? Where did I call you a "Nazi?"(OK maybe that is a little strong)
You implied I hated Jews because I maintain God cannot and would not favor one people over another
I'm implying absolutely nothing.
You say that God "cannot" favor one people over another. Okay, fine. But you have yet to state what you base this claim on. That's the question. Will you answer it?
You state unproven "facts"... talk about false witness!...
Not quite. See that little squiggly line with the little dot under it? <- Just like that one? <- There's another!
That's a 'question mark.' I asked a question as opposed to making a declarative sentence. I asked a question. To wit, you've never answered that question either.
Now, will you please answer what you base your claim on that God does not favor one people over another? Simple question. That's all I ask.
Thank you.
Little strong my backside! You were caught in an outright lie! I was just being diplomatic about it.
Your credibility is sinking. . .
For all intents and purposes, you attacked me, suggesting I was anti-Semetic WHY because I cannot believe God would favor one people over another...and you think you can CYA with a question mark?
OK fair enough.. Are you a "Chosen People" NAZI?
--Boris
No, these are options.
--Boris
Am I a Nazi? Well, the National Socialist Party promoted Aryan supremacy. Since I'm black, no, I'm not a member of the National Socialist Party.
Still haven't answered what you base your claims on, I see.
Lastly, there was no "CYA." I just pointed that out to you as something that you didn't answer, for it was a valid question after all.
Will you answer the question of what do you base your claim that God does not have a favorite people?
I can think, and I can tell an agenda when I read it...open your closed mind...you are off topic, and I will not reply....
Okay. Don't reply.
Aquamarine, you see this? He won't reply! I think he's said more from not replying than he ever could if he would have just answered the one simple question.
Is he paranoid, perhaps?
I've never seen anyone ashamed of their faith, have you? I guess he is, since he won't tell us what it is.
alphadog...Bill O'Reilly got it wrong. We are not saved by good works but by faith.
Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, [of] the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Rom 11:3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to [the image of] Baal.
Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
Rom 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
Rom 11:9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
Rom 11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
Rom 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
Rom 11:12 Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
God has a plan and it is more complicated than we know. To the common person riches is gold and silver. But if you read further in the Bible the next verses reveal what riches are.
Col 1:26 [Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
I apologize for chopping the scripture up, but if you continue reading Romans the mystery continues to unfold.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this [is] my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.
Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
Rom 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Rom 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Rom 11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, [are] all things: to whom [be] glory for ever. Amen.
Amen.
