You are not alone in your observations, and conclusions.

I propose a simple "coherence" test of any piece of text: if it makes as much sense when read backwards as it does when read normally, it is probably incoherent.

I think you will find this tool of immense benefit when applied to "f.christian's" Thorazine-jag ramblings. I predict that most of them will, in fact, appear to be just as sensible when read backwards as fowards: they will make no sense at all read either way!
