Hmmm. I wonder if this is an 'in your face' to the GAO in response to its threatened lawsuit against Cheney? That it also would go after Hillary would be icing on the cake.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
My guess on this one is that David Walker was still taking marching orders from Hillary. This will put an end to any contact between the two.

The real target of the GAO should be--
and Congress, the GAO, itself,IMHO

............Walker's focus in recent weeks: prying loose White House records on meetings between Vice President Dick Cheney and Enron officials. This is a question of the Separation of Powers of the Constitution. Congress has no more right, short of impeachment, to dictate what the White House does than the White House has a right to dictate what Congress does.
The White House should fast track this case to the Supreme Court and put a stake through it's heart once and for all.

What about the real scandals??

Go get 'em!

Pay back !!!!!
Bush wasn't going to do anything - but she didn't behave herself.
Now we have to get one of the liberal newspapers to comment on her stealing furniture.

When will they give up on this?

I think GW held this "TRUMP CARD" until the Demorats started slinging mud (as he knew they would) The rats/liberal bias media are trying HARD to hang enron on the white house so this is payback. Good for GW!! Its about time!

"White House folks suggested we cast as wide a net as possible," GAO director Bernard Ungar told the New York Daily News Saturday, adding that the Bushies wanted to redirect the probe's previous focus from the Eisenhower office building to Mrs. Clinton official digs.
Two questions :
1. He is a crdible source because................?
2. What is the purpose of telling this to the newspapers?
[both rhetorical questions, BTW]
President Bush has gone out of his way to accommodate those on the other side of the aisle. I find it hard to believe he would be so stoooooooopid as to say "Hey, we want to go after Hillary Clinton. Let's target her!"
Me thinks it is another smear attempt on the part of certain partisans to trash the President of the United States. Mighty fishy......the story, not Hillary. Well the story AND Hillary - can't forget ole' Crusty.

Ya mean that picture of Her Heinous leaving the White House with the silverware on the inside of her coat wasn't a fake?

Tumbleweed_Connection, this is a masterstroke by a master of the carrot and the stick.
President Bush has shown one outstanding characteristic in his tenure as our C in C. He does not "quick draw" on anything. Anything that has been done has been in a dignified, proper manner, which shows we have adults in charge for a change.
IMHO, this is a warning. The dims have not only been doing a roadblock on all legislation, and judicial appointments, but there seems to be a greater freedom by the liberal press to link him somehow with 9/11 (the cartoon fiasco). When our President took office, he had more pressing things occupying his time (the tax cuts, and trying to stimulate the economy, He was well on his way when the terrorists carried out their tragic actions. The dims got face time talking about unity and bipartisanship, but now the usual leftist drivel is being dispensed in even bigger lots. This is simply put, "if you want investigations, we can give you more than you humanly thought possible, and when we are done, there are going to be one heck of a lot of unemployed/incarcerated dims littering the landscape".
He is pulling off the undoable in Afghanistan, now he is showing he is capable of multitasking and handling the domestic terror problem (I consider the actions of the leading dims domestic terror), as well.
You will not see the results of this overtly. What you will see is bills moving, appointments coming, and people running for cover.
Keep the Faith for Freedom
MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THIS HONORABLE REPUBLIC

I bet that, right now, there are moving vans at the Clintons' offices and houses; in order to hide the evidence of what they stole.

You should never mention PROBE and HITLERY in the same sentence !
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Immediately after reports of White House vandalism, Bush seemed to take no interest in the episode and urged the media to look that other way.And what
other way is
that?
And I thought my proofreading was bad.

I talked to someone who worked late on the last night in the WEST WING and he said he saw no trashing there. I think it was in the Hillary and Gore parts mostly, but I'm just speculating.
