I'm one of those oil men in a multinational oil company. I'm not the chairman, but I know what's going on, and nobody let me in on that conspiracy.
Maybe I missed a memo.
The truth is that the Arabs are the only psychos in the world that train specifically for the murder of women and children, and gloat at the success of their glorious achievments. They have become a society and culture of mass murderers, and serial killers.
The Islamic psychosis has reached its ultimate and ineviteable fruition.
The truth is that the Arabs are the only psychos in the world that train specifically for the murder of women and children, and gloat at the success of their glorious achievments.
The truth is, both sides continue to do unconsionable things in the name of "struggle" and "security". Until the cycle of violence is broken on BOTH sides, there will be no peace and indeed the violence will escalate.
As far as trying to get oil out of central Asia, we are certainly looking at that. If we can do so profitably, then it's in our interest to do so, and the company and America will be better off for it. Depending on the Middle East for our oil imports makes everyone nervous.
Dad has worked in the oil field all his life. Drilling mud. I think a lot of oil field workers live pretty close to the basic realities of life. Thoughtlessness on a derrick drill floor/table will give you an early exit!
Of course, some of them can be a drunken bunch of airheads at times, too.
Still, their instincts are pretty basic American in my experience.
You are evidently a number of layers up from those on a derrick drill floor. But I wager you still have a fairly firm grip on basic realities.
I can imagine a lot of conspiracies that probably have more than a grain of truth. But the oil one has just never washed well enough for me. In any case, thanks for confirming my biases.
I don't know that much about him except that he's a loose cannon. I don't think it's impossible that he exaggerated Cheney's comments.
The newspaper that quoted him is the same one which attributed some equally explosive statements to General Zinni, which he later formally denied.
Further, the comments attributed to Cheney are completely out of character for him.
So, yeah, I think somebody is lying.
I stand by my words. The only principle that matters is that we should use every tool at our disposal to affect the most desireable outcome for the well being of the United States, its people, its security, and its economic interests. We cannot legislate around the hate and jealousy coming from other countries.
Years ago I read about a Russian diplomatic worker who was kidnapped in the mideast. The Soviets responded by kidnapping one of the members of the Islamic radicals who had done the deed. The Russians cut the private parts out of their victim and put them in his mouth. They put his body in a street to be seen and found. The kidnapping of Russians was thereafter greatly attenuated. The Russians understood well what I am telling you. There was nothing weak about Russia at the time. They had clarity of thought and an understanding of human behavior that many of today's "heady" folk plainly lack.
