Shouldn't we focus our energies on avenging 9-11 by going after Bin Laden
and the other perpetrators? Why this change of focus?

1. No, we shouldn't be wasting our energy and time on avenging anything.
We should be destroying those who will attack us, before they are able to do so.
Iraq fits this profile.

2. OBL has been dead since before Dec 13th.
To focus on a lone dead man is like not seeing the "forest, for the trees."
Yes, we should continue to fry the OBL created groups,
but it's time to shift our primary effort to the next target.

3. There is no "change of focus," President Bush said this was a war on terror
and those who would attack America, not just on OBL and Company. He was serious.

If you mean gettng Saddam, I don't recall ever reading that as part of the job description, and blaming Powell for not doing something that wasn't on the to do list is unfair monday morning quarterbacking.
