Why do I have to watch FOX to learn about Global Crossing?

Thanks to Slim for the ping. Kudos to Dave for his analysis. It looks like the Andersen thing is gaining a momentum of its own. I hope that some of the larger pension funds are looking at other Andersen clients -- and if some of the funds themselves are audited by Andersen, action should be taken there. Perhaps, with all due respect to GoMonster and his excellent post, the better mailing lists would be major fund managers.

Thanks for the kind words.

NewsMax and others are starting to pick up on the Arthur Andersen connections with the GAO!

This is like so many things we find and start working on here at Free Republic. In a few weeks or even months, someone, who has impact, finally wakes up and starts to spread the word that we have been on for months.

We started the word about the Islamic Camp near Fresno last year in December. Now it turns out the mullah arrested for the kidnapping of the WSJ reporter has connections with these Islamics terrorists in SC, Ca and other states.

This Arthur Andersen connection when linked to large and often massive donations to the DemonicRats political needs, will turn out to be a massive smoking gun. Not the one that the DemonicRats intended!

Good reply and thanks for the link!

It is up to us get the word out.

I haven't got into "Hutchison-Whampoa, which involves deep triad connections.". First, we need to expose the Global Crossing/Loral/Enron and other companies connections with Arthur Andersen and the dark side. Then, people like you document this scary Hutchison-Whampoa connection for future exposure.

This whole mess is so large and so scary and needs to be exposed and lanced like an infected boil.

"Both parties have enabled and continue to enable the system that brought these debacles about. This "controversy" is strictly an inside the beltway partisan fight that sells newspapers or makes for talking points but has no lasting significance."

Admittedly, the massive amounts of our National Wealth siphoned off by the Federal Leviathan--and the almost unlimited regulatory powers with which we have empowered the hopelessly corrupt Federal Agencies--is the shameful responsibility of BOTH parties; however, it wasn't until the Clinton Administration turned the Department of Commerce into as veritable bribe-extractin' Machine for the DemocRATic National Committee that the potential Evil of this Vile Pact of Thieves achieved fruition.

Personally, I'd like to see the Department of Commerce disappear, as well as at least half of the Federal Leviathan...'cuz this corruption will only be reined in when we rein in the Size, Cost, and Scope of the Federal Leviathan. By focusing on the corruption of the Clinton Administration abuse of regulatory agencies and the Dept. of Commerce, IMHO, we can peel back the layers of this rancid onion and help spur a call for a devolvement of Power from within the Beltway.

So perhaps you DO have a dog in this fight...MUD

Disgorgement of profit should be applied to these accounting malpractice companies upon conviction. FWIW the West Coast Chinese tongs operate in Houston - there may be more to this debacle than we now know.
