You've got it bass-ackwards. What's a 20-something adult going to do when her "Granny" goes to get her attention? Raise her hand against her own "Granny"? I hope she gets the b!+ch-slapping she deserves. Well, I was NOT suggesting some sort of physical altercation between the two, but honestly, the woman is 24. You cannot discipline a 24 year old as if they were a child. Whay exactly is Grandma Barbara supposed to do, put Noelle over her knee?

"We're all members of the "human" party"Do we have to include Hamas and Al Quada in the party? Cause I really, really, don't wanna be in the same party as those numb sculls! Maybe the rest of the human race could vote them out? They could have their own party. The "sub-human" party:^)

First the twins are arrested for public drunkenness, now little Dumbya's niece is arrested for a substance abuse problem.
As outraged American taxpayers, we all should be calling for Dumbya's resignation, or at least a leave of absence for several months, until he cleans up the problems in the substance-abusing, dysfunctional Bush family.

Shes an adult lonestar. Jeb can't do squat, even assuming he wanted to treat his daughter that way. Most parents love their children, even when they make mistakes.I've learned since I posted the first comment that she is an adult. I assumed she was younger because of her immature behavior.
Who said anything about not loving children when they "make mistakes?" You, not me.
Because of her age, if she were mine, she would suffer the consequences of her behavior without any help from me financially or "pulling strings."
I believe in "tough love" and I think it's worse on parents than children most of the time.

Next time have some FReeper decency and courtesy to PING both TLBSHOW and myself. Instead of talkng behind our backs, why not face those you have a problem with and choose to attack. May be you're too chicken s**t. BTW, your assertions that TLBSHOW and myself have "...rude and have unsophisticated senses of humor", is nothing but your opinion. Have any proof to back that up, or are you just a cheap shot artist too?

I don't jump form topic to topic. The girl is a druggie. She needs help bad, JUST like all the non-violent druggies in prision. She has a addiction to prescription medicine. I do not think it's right for the government to jail her or anybody.
Other than that, the Bush family looks almost misfit. I'm sorry, that's how I see it. The Bush Family is a boozie and probably a "drug taking" family. I know for darn sure both Jeb and George W. know that. They should of known the media would come after them by any means.

Its impossible to tell if you are a reactionary left wing liberal commie, or a reactionary far-right religous wacko? Shows just how similar the extremes of both parties are:)
As for your point, yes I think we should hold the president responsible for not only the actions of his extended family, but of the actions of every Republican in the country. After all, we all know that if anyone anywhere does anything wrong it must be GW Bushes fault right? /sarcasm

Gov. Jeb Bush's 24-year-old daughter charged with prescription fraud after allegedly trying to buy sedative

Breaking News Sections
(01-29) 10:32 PST TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) --
Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter was charged with prescription fraud Tuesday after she was arrested at a pharmacy drive-thru window while allegedly trying to buy the sedative Xanax.
Jeb Bush and his wife, Columba, issued a statement saying they were "deeply saddened" by the incident involving their only daughter, 24-year-old Noelle.
"This is a very serious problem," they said. "Unfortunately, substance abuse is an issue confronting many families across our nation."
Bush asked the public and the media to "respect our family's privacy during this difficult time so that we can help our daughter."
"We will have no further comment on this issue," Bush said.
A Walgreens pharmacist called police while Noelle Bush was waiting in her white Volkswagen in the drive-thru lane Tuesday morning, according to a Tallahassee Police report.
Monday night, a woman claiming to be a doctor called in a prescription for Xanax for Noelle Bush, police said.
The police report said a colleague of the doctor, Dr. Noel Scidmore, said he was no longer practicing in Tallahassee and the phoned-in prescription should be treated as fraudulent.
Pharmacist Carlos Zimmerman said Noelle Bush called the pharmacy to ask about the prescription and was told it couldn't be filled because no quantity was given, according to police. Someone claiming to be Scidmore called back and gave a quantity. When Noelle Bush called back she was told the prescription would be ready in about 40 minutes, according to the report.
Police were called when she arrived for the prescription.
Noelle Bush later admitted to police that the contact number for Scidmore that was left on the pharmacy answering machine was her second home phone line, investigators said.
Xanax, a sedative similar to Valium, is typically prescribed for anxiety or sleep problems.
Noelle Bush graduated from Tallahassee Community College in 2000 and attended Florida State University during the 2000-2001 academic year but is not currently enrolled, the university registrar's office said.
Her mother has worked on behalf of Informed Families of Florida, a nonprofit group involved in educating families about drug abuse.
Jeb and Columba Bush had said previously that one of their three children struggled with a drug problem following Bush's unsuccessful first run for governor in 1994. They did not say whether it was Noelle or one of her brothers.
President Bush's twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara, have been charged with underage drinking. Last May, Jenna was charged with using someone else's identification to try to buy a margarita at a restaurant, and Barbara was charged with underage drinking.
The charges were dropped after the twins performed community service, attended alcohol awareness classes and paid $100 fines. A separate underage drinking charge in April against Jenna Bush went on her record as a conviction because of the restaurant violation. A judge fined her $500 and suspended her license.

Other than the fact that us being taxpayers having nothing to do with the rest of your comment, please tell Sens. Daschle, Dodd, etc to advocate what you suggest. PLEASE! Help the GOP take back the Senate!

Pot possession, 1st offense: probation and/or fine, maybe deffered adjudication and treatment. And how should Noelle be treated, exactly?
To: Stone Mountain
"...they could've waited until she received the drugs from the pharmacy..."But she wasn't going to receive the drugs at that point. Because the pharmacist already knew the call-in was bogus. He would have had to knowingly fill the Rx and hand it to her as part of a police sting. It's one thing when cops use confiscated street drugs to run a sting, but it's another thing entirely when a pharmacist uses his own inventory this way. Ordinarily, those drugs can never leave his possession, unless they're given to a legitimate customer or returned to the distributor/manufacturer. In either case, there's required paperwork.
She was amazingly dumb here. Call-ins, even with a DEA number that checks out, are often called back. The pharmacist will look up the physician's office number from a phone book, rather than rely on a phone number given to him by the caller. There are just too many ways to get caught at this.

Thanks for the heads up, willieroe. An accomplice call-in. I should have known.

#640 is the nicest piece I've read on a political couple in a long time.

"Sounds like Noel tried to get a sleeping pill refill from an old doctor, the druggist called a colleague to verify, and then got the gal to call and name the quantity on tape."Good call, cb. Pharmacists don't like people who put their licensure in jeopardy, not one little bit. This one made sure that they both got run in.
