I'm 2 miles from the epicenter. Aftershock now hitting about same magnitude. 4.2 on richter Good shake but no biggie so far. No damage here.

Another big aftershock, as big as the previous one. Still not anything anywhere near as big as the Northridge Quake.

" a major California quake within the next 2 weeks? He predicted a 7.2 in LA, but for a week ago. I said these occur within 2 days of the full or new moon. It's the full moon.

Apparently this was very close to Simi Valley. Other areas in Southern California (e.g., Anaheim) didn't feel anything.

I moved to Alameda January 1st, 1990, not long after the one in SF during the World Series.
Even a year later they would have aftershocks that would throw you up off the sofa and onto your feet. The back of the SF Chronicle had a cool little graphic showing shocks for the previous day. There would be HUNDREDS recorded around the Bay Area alone. What a blast it was.
