Great Scot! What a blast from the past. I have memories from my childhood of my father taking me to get a hair cut from an old drunk who lived in a converted hayloft over an old barn just down the alley from our home.
He lived above the barn and cut hair outside in the alley. With the patron sitting on a wooden box. He had an old mutt dog that maybe didn't actually smoke a pipe but at least held it in his mouth and pretended to.
To travel the last thirty feet to this road side attraction one was compelled to kick aside the piles of empty Griesedieck cans. The cans were actually more of a metal bottle. They were shaped like a brake fluid can and had a metal cap that was put on with a capper but also held in place by a twisted wire.
Is this the Griesedieck you mean?
See, there's your problem. You should try Guinness.
