I see. I was expecting an intelligent response or argument from you. I thought you might help is clarifying whether Declaring a State of War was a legal obligation/law, whatever.

Instead you just call people names, and make incorrect assumptions.

Thanks for nothing.

It isn't taking long to separate those that are here to learn, grow, discuss, debate, get to the truth,

from those that are here only to feed their own egos. I was hoping you weren't one of the latter.

Sorry, UCAN. The statement in #139 was meant to describe people such as the self-important philosopher/web writer in question, and not you! I'll try to be more careful in the future.

As EMILY LITELLA would say, "Oh,,,, nevermind."

(Really, I apologize too. I guess I am a little jumpy myself, after some of the intensity of yesterday's threads.)

FreeRepublic is more far more interesting than the cult of Libertarianism.

Is that why you spend so much time obsessing over us?

Thank you so very much. This (took a while to go through but was worth it) helps.

This stuff was taken from http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/603478/posts

This provides some answers as to WHY DOESN'T PRESIDENT BUSH JUST DECLARE WAR?

"§ 1169. The power, to declare war may be exercised by congress, not only by authorizing general hostilities, in which case the general laws of war apply to our situation; or by partial hostilities, in which case the laws of war, so far as they actually apply to our situation, are to be observed.

President Bush declared a state of emergency immediately after the attacs on 9/11, Congress followed by authorizing the use of force. All done as per the letter of the War Powers Act.

It's clear that Congress would have declared war after the September 11th attacks, except they didn't know who to declare war against. It's clear too that they have supported the Administration's response to date.

Are there any other libertarians squatting on FR who want to tell Mr. Robinson he isn't a "real American patriot"?

Do they ever say anything else? ...On yeah, they call names and cry about the thought of losing their beloved drugs, homosex, prostitution, kiddieporn, etc.... You're just a big darned party pooper, CJ!

You think spreading falsehoods about libertarianism is the same as weeding your garden? Mmm-kay.

I'm told you used to be a valuable contributor to the discussions, on the Pursuit of Liberty threads. Sad that you have chosen to pursue this negative course instead.

And the entire FR forum members: SARTRE appreciates the opportunity to respond to your disagreements. Jim's reply has been posted on the BREAKING ALL THE RULES Forum Page: http://pages.zdnet.com/sartre/RULES/id5.html Our skin is thick and can take the barbs. Consider reading the content on BATR before you risk false conclusions. We may agree on many issues, but the New World Order is the true enemy that prevents the restoration of our REPUBLIC. Thanks you for your interest, just turn up the heat the next time you want to roast SARTRE; we are always up for an intelligent debate. SARTRE

Hey, we at FreeRepublic are more than happy to help anyone with web ads get more visitors for their bottom line. (emphasis added by editor)

Interesting that an anarchist who apparently lauds the "breaking of all the rules" would place these words on his own website:

"© 2000-2002 by BATR All Rights Reserved".

Who does a pragmatic anarchist turn to when his writing is stolen?

IMO, the jihadic cultist has infected roscoe & the boys with his OCD, -- it's sort of the like the latest sophomoric fad.

I don't remember roscoe from the PoL days, much less any valued opinions. -- Who said that, his mom?

Bottom line: Defending the nation from enemies, both foreign and domestic - you can't get much more patriotic than that. The "Evil" that surrounds us is winning. Even here, intollerence for other opinions and the right to free speech is limited to those in power. Those who disagree shall be mocked and driven out.

I won' t let you piss on my carpet. Am I violating your civil rights?

I can't speak for anyone else but I only mock the stupid ones and you can find your own ride home.

I won' t let you piss on my carpet. Am I violating your civil rights? I would say "No" ... Do you have a lot of acquaintences that piss on your carpet ?? If so, I'd suggest you find new friends. I can't speak for anyone else but I only mock the stupid ones Reassuring that, must be nice to be superior. and you can find your own ride home. Thanks, your seat covers are probably soiled anyway.
