Right, and I think the University official died under questionable circumstances as well.

So the University is accusing this student of lying when he described every intimate detail of the Campus Life Directors private quarters just because the university staff was worried about the publicity.

Liberty University has a wonderful university atmosphere...we were quite impressed with the university & the students when we visited the campus. In fact I had just reseached Liberty's College Weekend for our high school seniors before logging on to Free Republic. It gives high schoolers an opportunity to visit the University and if they attend Liberty, the cost of the airfare for the Weekend is deducted from the first semester's tuition. Quite a deal.

I think Kendall slips them stories every now and again.
Bush's poll numbers must be too high for the liberals to take and the only way the democrats can attack is by digging up dirt on Jerry Falwell.

I'm not a Falwell fan, but I'd want a bit more information before judging this one. I don't see a great deal of credibility lying around this article.
God bless,

Not sure about the gay sex ring, but it sounds like Falwell knew something about this guy's past when putting him in charge of the office dealing with young people.

I know Danny Lovett personally, I haven't met his son though. this would really hurt him and his family immensly. I would tend to give this some doubt until I hear hard facts. but when there is smoke there is usually fire.

If Falwell knew about it he deserves all the scorn he gets. I just don't feel I have any credible information I can make that judgment on yet. People rush to these types of judgments about Catholics all the time. On the scantiest of evidence they tell us all/most/huge numbers/whatever of the priests are homosexuals/pedophiles/florists, not to mention how they know that we all worship Mary and sacrifice small tomatoes to our god on thursdays. I'm just tired of all the accusations that people make before having any real evidence, and I'm not willing to turn around and do that to Rev. Falwell. I do not want to be like them.
If there is reliable evidence I'm not seeing that Falwell knew, or if such evidence comes out, I will call for his head. I'm just not there yet.

Unfortuately, the national media and the anti-Christian leftists aren't interested in giving anyone the benefit of the doubt. They're more interested in unsubstantiated rumor, particularly if it suits their social and political causes. If the rumor turns out the false, they can drop it, but not until the rumor has done its damage to people's reputations and lives.
