The Netherlands was a great trading power once and had colonies in the US, Suriname, Indonesia and other islands in that region. Also Holland was the first nation allowed to make a trade settlement in Japan. It's fleet could rival the Spanish armada's.

Belgium has small colonies and did little profit out of them (congo).
