I'll start paying attention to Rush
again when the Daisy Cutter of
Truth ( AKA The Truth Detector )
begins taking calls about and discussing
Patrick Knowlton, Vince Foster, and
the evidence that VF did not die in FMP.
Until that day, thanks but no thanks.
"If el Rushbo were to make an appearance on this thread, then I'd see some point to give my opinion of what has been posted, point by point. But as it stands I'll only be arguing against die-hard Rush fans, Rush fans who stand no chance whatsoever of ever hearing arguments like mine coming through their radios, Rush fans who are so ignorant that by my simply saying this they think I'm a "liberal" and that I favor Dashle, when the fact of the matter is I don't even know what the man has said and that I only know he's a man because someone threw up his picture at me the other day in this forum
Is the guy who threw his picture up okay? Dang, that KodaKolor paper's pretty sharp!
Yeah, right. As if FR
isn't sufficiently enlightening, addicting,
and time consuming. I was a huge fan
of Rush when he helped engineer the
GOP takeover of the House, but
his fear of taking on Clinton's treason
put an end to that.
"Rush fans who stand no chance whatsoever of ever hearing arguments like mine coming through their radios"
is because most people who listen to talk radio are able to be entertained by simple audio stimuli, without having to resort to "eye candy". May be faulty logic, but I think this is an indicator of relatively high intelligence. Ergo, not many DemonRats listen to talk radio, since they are relatively dense.
On a related note, you ask for concrete definitions of "liberal" and "conservative" on your profile page. That's impossible. They are abstract terms, meaning something different to different folks. Ask a black man what "justice" means, you'll get a distinctly different answer from when you ask a white collar white dood.
If there was only one definition for anything, there wouldn't be umpteen religions all reading the same Bible. But here...here's my definitions: Liberal: A person who believes in an idyllic, fog-filled, dreamy world where everybody skips around happily, singing along to happy tunes magically piped into the scene from above. This genre of humanity disregards the world around him/her as reality, prefering to harbor their "Utopia" fantasy. They don't appreciate working hard, and enjoying the fruits of their labors. They prefer to punish superlative examples of their race by taxing the crap out of the succesful, and loathing them anyway.
On the other hand, we have 2)Conservatives. These fine folks wish that #1 would get the hell out of the way so they can work hard, be succesful, and go buy that bigger house. They feel that they are the best at deciding how they live, and don't need no stinkin' government to dictate minutae to them every day, ever way. I could probably go on forever, given the nature of the discussion, but that's the gist of it...
As to Rush, I heard him yesterday for the first time in a couple of years. The issue was the economic stimulus package and I found myself agreeing with him to a point. I'm a flat-tax advocate though, so even Rush seems a bit liberal to me. Still, he made some good points.
Go to his web page and READ where he supplies external references that walks his talk.
1. he said hillary was not running for the u.s. senate.
2. he's right about u.s. oil companies not setting opec prices, but wrong about domestic pricing. american oil co's price by zipcode. if you live in a tourist area, you pay higher prices.
Sounds like some of "Gore's" "Fuzzy English" to me <grin>
Until now, most Americans have been forced to watch our country and its culture drift further and further to the left. Not knowing the true reasons for this degeneration, we have felt helpless to stop it. We have wasted our time and our money supporting political candidates who have cynically sold us false promises about their ability to restore true American values. Now, after years of investigation and with precious little time to spare, DAVID HOROWITZ has finally found the ACTUAL SOURCE of this foul tide. Armed with irrefutable proof, he has exposed the CONSERVATIVE HOLOCAUST that has until now been secreted behind the tall, ivy-covered walls of academia.
Real conservatives, I personally urge you to support Mr. Horowitz's campaign in every way possible. Forget the politicians. Instead, speak to your neighbors. Form committees. Demand to see what is actually written in the textbooks given to our kids. Write letters demanding protection for conservative students and faculty. Show up at David's campaign stops. Visit David's website at FRONTPAGEMAG.COM. Finally, and most importantly, I urge you to immediately send David as much money as you possibly can to save our conservative values from extinction. And please, FReepers, DIG DEEP because this is no time for half measures.
With David's leadership, we can and we will DEFEAT INTELLECTUAL TERRORISM and save our country from the evils of FULL BLOWN SOCIALISM.
Thank you, America, LET'S ROLL!
1. he said hillary was not running for the u.s. senate.
Don't know about this one, does it matter? She's the spouse of the Father of Lies anyway. Plus, wants to tax me even more to support lowlifes who won't get off government welfare and support themselves.
2. he's right about u.s. oil companies not setting opec prices, but wrong about domestic pricing. american oil co's price by zipcode. if you live in a tourist area, you pay higher prices.
If the base price goes down then the price in all zip codes go down....
