Someone I worked for more than a decade ago had both of these on the wall at the workplace. She also had two Mastiffs and a cat on the job whose company I enjoyed greatly during the short time I worked there.

Well,we need to listen to our furry friends.
Twenty minutes ago my dog Digger,a blue healer, woke me up and wanted to go down stairs.
I opened the door but she just looked out so I closed it and went back to bed,she still would not be quiet, and was whining in a funny way so I got up and went down stairs.
My FORD truck was GONE!
Just great,Christmas and now no vehicle!
Anyway, gave her some dog cookies and let her know she did right.
Man,it just never stops, felt my knee go this afternoon, (my GOOD knee)too.
I am bummed.

Man, you just wrote the next platinum country western song; call Brad Paisley tonight!
But, don't let Tabby know about this thread.

I can imagine your dog thinking, "Hey! Don't blame me! I did my job and tried to warn you. But would you listen?"
Sorry to hear about the bad news.

Sorry about your truck but what's a blue healer? Do you have a pic of her? He meant Blue Heeler; so-called because they are working dogs and control the herd by nipping at or grabbing the heels of the strays and leading, forcing, them back to the group.
this is probably the hero of this story:

I am taking great liberties with this thread because I have a blue heeler who seduced my lab/springer mix and we now have her and one of the pups who we call Dr. Pepper because of his caramel-colored coat; he is the world's greatest shortstop - still working on his throw to first base.

Since most of you know I am with the Humane Society, all I can add to these great stories is; a dog from a shelter, especially one that came from an abused or neglected background, will be your friend and protector for life! I'm speaking from experience!

Oh, I forgot to mention, we got her as a stray before I even knew what breed she was; the home she wandered up to was owned by a co-worker of my wife and he couldn't keep her - she hadn't barked once while he was feeding her and he thought she couldn't bark, so I said let's call her "Aussie" after the Besenji; well, after she had her litter we had her spayed and I asked the vet what breed she was and he said, "Blue Heeler." She was apparently just going into "heat" when we brought her home and I just wasn't vigilant enough to overcome her wily ways.
And, the no-barking part was just a bit of fear, I guess, she barks the loudest and most strident of the three now, and strangers shake in their boots at the sound and sight of her full 33 pounds with the two baggy, boy dogs that go 70 pounds per standing next to her, tails wagging and mouths full of raggedy tennis balls.
