"Daddy just doesn't want me to have fun. He just likes to tell me what to do. I could care less what people do." - Texaggie79That's all I got to say about that :-)

The condition of being high on crack Right, I mistakenly gave you the benefit of the doubt. I see now that you feel you have the right to shoot anyone you believe is smoking crack. Good luck, and stay the F*** away from me.

Talking about the nastiness of alcohol and tobacco is a good thing.

Mr. 'taz; it AIN'T against the law to have nukes. As morally repugnant as it might be, we're allowed.

Calling recreational drug users "Druggies" is a bit much since our recreational habits do not define us.Drunks
Gun-Nuts
Conservatives
Constitutionalists
Homeschoolers
They're all labels. General definitions. I'm glad you didn't take offense; I hope them Druggies didn't.

Debates aren't fun if everyone is polite and nice. I disagree. Though flames may be viscerally satisfying, it would be fun for a change to actually debate the subject rather than having the usual one-upmanship insult contest.

One last point and I'll leave you alone, this thread looks about dead anyway.
After the civil war, when morphine and herion were first developed, do you know what the second leading cause of addiction was, after pain treatment for amputations and such? The doctors thought it would be a good treatment for alcoholism.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see. Alcohol and tobacco are by far the biggest killers (excluding father time) amongst all recreational drugs combined. The only reason the carnage from these substances is not far worse is that they are LEGAL.

[Try to figure why the feds have jurisdiction]
I don't think they have jurisdiction, either. Ashcroft is my least favorite of Bush's cabinet picks. that's going some to say that too because I think he only made one decent choice. He's surrounded himself with the damnedest bunch of scoundrels I've ever seen going unhanged since Clinton made his final replacement appointments.
This looks like the fourth term in a row in which there's been a turd wearing a $2000 suit in the White House.
