I think like alot of people that post on these thread they think that witchcraft is a spiritually neutral...and some kind of game.That would make sense in a secular culture that has no Biblical ties.

I happen to believe that God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.Those that are His will not be deceived..so everyman is free to do what is "right in his own eyes".For those that think there just might be some truth in the bible I quote from Matthew

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.IMHO It is not possible because of Gods grace working in them has given them Spiritual eyes.. So to the rest of the world it is a game,they may play because God allows man his free will choices.

Where the idea for Harry Potter actually came from I really couldn't tell you. I was travelling on a train between Manchester and London and it just popped into my head. I spent four hours thinking about what Hogwarts would be like - the most interesting train journey I've ever taken. By the time I got off at King's Cross many of the characters in the books had already been invented.

And so the cruise becomes yet another distortion of the truth, just like the claims that she "majored in Mythology" when every bio I've seen says she majored in "French."

If it's true that the books are evil, then why can't they be discredited with the truth and not distorted facts?

This is a serious question. I really don't have any problem with some Christians' problems with HP (I understand them, given your world view), but why is it necessary to twist the truth? (I'm not getting at you lot personally, please understand that!)

Sort of strange that she is so well educated, yet made to appear as a struggling poor writer.

Education, especially in the arts, doesn't always guarantee employment. And, she was divorced. I've not seen any stories talking about her child's father, which would lead me to assume that he was not involved and/or not contributing. But maybe she just doesn't want him getting any of the royalties...

This is one of the stupidest, sloppiest posts I have ever read on FR. The authors are so intent on getting across their ludicrous concerns about witchcraft and spells, etc. across that the can't even bother to get the names of the books' characters right. (Makes me wonder whether they actually read them.) Witchcraft ain't real, jed, it's make-believe!
