Do you really think Catholics are that much different than "mainstream" christians?
To: Mark17
Plastic doesn't understand that many "Christian" churches are really Christian in name only. Some of the mainstream Prots don't even try to hide their abandonment of the Christ much less preach His divinity.
So many of these leftwing social clubs that meet on Sunday mornings (always careful to "get us out by noon so we can get to the game"), may well be as anti-Israeli as he guesses they are.
His mistake is thinking they are Christian, rather than just another bunch of screwed-up anti-Semitic lefties.

Lent took him out in Round 1. TKO. Well, good for him. I thought that was a real dumb statement too.

Was just wondering what state you lived in? Since we took this land from the Indians I think its time you got off your land headed for the nearest reservation apologized and handed over title and deed. I dont foresee you making this trip. The rule of conquest is precedent here and if you risk loss of land dont cry and whine and if you do put your money where your mouth is. Islamic people are just cowards who kill innocents and who on the battlefield and faced with real weapons cower in fear and cry like little girls.

Go Israel! We will not fail you, that is a promise.

There was peace for thousands of years before the European Jews arrived-- Jews, Moslems, and Christians lived side by side
There was a reason Jews wanted their own country...and it wasn't because everyone lived happily ever after side by side for thousands of years. Jews were persecuted in almost every Arab country after the Arab conquest of the 7th century and had to accept life as second class citizens under dhimmi laws, such as paying special taxes to their Arab conquerers for "protection". Jews were relagated to Arab style Jewish ghettos. They had to wear special identifying clothing. They didn't have equal rights as a Muslim under the law. You get the picture...not a good place for a Jew to live..especially when they could have their own country in Judea-cum-Palestine and live as first class citizens.

Tell me where Palestine is!! TELL ME!!! There has NEVER been a Palestine!! They are Jordanian, and they got booted for trying to take over the country. They are refugees living on Israeli soil, end of story!!
It is time for Israel to kick these refugees out of thier country and be done with them. They tried to be nice, it did not work!! Time to kick them out on thier little terrorist butts!!!

(IsraelNationalNews.com) Jordans King Abdullah II told a London newspaper that should the conflict between the PLO and Israel escalate, his country will not get involved. In that event, he further stated, Jordan will close the Jordan River bridges to Arabs fleeing Judea and Samaria. The Hashemite King believes that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is serious about his intent to find an alternative leader to PLO leader Yasser Arafat.

You've gone over the edge. You must be in some kind of dope withdrawal, becuase your posts appear increasingly hallucinogenic. Take a few deep breaths, step away from the computer.

Since even you apparently knew so much about it, and since we now know that the Mossad knew about it-- why not warn the U.S.? They did warn the US.

"...no allegiance to it's benefactors"?
During the Gulf War Israel had to cow-tow to our plans and do nothing while Iraq bombed their people. Not only have they shared very advanced technology with us, they have shared their highly reguarded intelligence concerning the Islamic states that surround them.
I don't think everything should be judged wholly upon the convenience of the USA. I don't expect these people to fall on their swords for the benefit of the USA. To do so is selfish and cowardly, not qualities I would attribute to the people of The United States of America.
When it comes to the money we provide Israel, it's not wasted. Neither is it owed to them. We are investing in a friend who is caught between warring and murderous states. Make no mistake! They despise Israel and the success Israel has had...and some despise us for those same reasons. It's in our best interest that Israel stands tall and strong. When our coalition of countries fighting terrorism falls apart, as it most certainly will, we'll still have one ally in the region who has extensive experience dealing with murderers.

nonsense, not after THE UNITED STATES has armed the arabs to the teeth! You gotta be kidding.
Israeli pilots are the best in the region by far. Nothing would stay in the skies that they didn't want. Total air superiority.
Superior infantry, superior armor.
The only possible naval danger would be Iran's older Russian subs.
The wildcard is Saudi.
I'd be willing to bet they have nukes.

It's my understanding that the name Palestine was originally given by the Romans to the Jewish principality of Judea after the Jewish Bar Kokhba revolt (in addition to destroying the temple). It was named after the Philisteans who were *Greek* in origin. So Palestine denotes a region, the same region as it's previous name, Judea or Judah. Palestine was never organized into an independent nation.
I haven't looked yet, and it's interesting if true, but I've heard that Palestine never appears in the Old or New testaments.
